OK he could easily lift the wieght but he would need a long rope, a rough surface and good shoes.

KiloGramS. The SI has the unit "kg" meaning "kilogram". How was i supposed to say kilograms? I didn't say because i wasn't sure of how to spell it. Btw, neither do i know how to spell it now.

Now that you mentioned it, the "pulled free off the floor" thing made me understand that off the floor he has no resistance point and so the force with which he pulls the rope is getting him up instead of the cement. Thanx.

P.S. What's "²"??? i'm seeing it as an mirror-reflected comma. Too small to mean anything...

i read a puzzle that a halterophile (correct me because i'm wrong, no "if"s required here) was asked to raise 100kg-s of cement (those were in a box-like thing) through a pulley. Although he could lift 150+ kg-s in the sporting events, he had no chance in moving the cement because he weighed only 75kg-s. I disagreed for a long time with the given answer, but now it seems just like MB3 with diff weights. Any ideas if/why are they right about the problem i stated?
