| Spoiler: Each pair of anagrams has exactly one other anagram. Using the initial letters of those 3rd words spells out 'vernier tools and insect airhole'. [NB. the 4th sentence was 'The Sioux were the vainest of the American natives', giving the 3rd anagram as 'naivest']. This then gives 'calipers' & 'spiracle', with the missing 3rd word, and final answer, being 'replicas'. |

| So I guess we're just waiting on someone to put this one to bed to post #2 in a week. Anyone want to spoil? |

| Wow...I blink and I've missed it. Anyway I've been too busy to have a go at this puzzle, but that WAS quick. Well done. |

Yeah, we're running at ~1 puzzle per month. We have a lot of back logged puzzles, but they'll only seem like a lot if they last a while. I can't be posting two puzzles a week. |

You'd better believe I'm following these threads too, hoping y'all don't solve them as fast as you did this one
Also yes, I believe Courk's intention was one puzzle per month so you'll have to wait a bit for the next one. Should be some good puzzles in VSP if you can't wait that long |

| I believe that Courk is planning to post a new puzzle every month. The answer is put up there after its pretty clear that people are done working on it, at least the first wave of people. I'm not sure. |

| It used to be the case that people submitted answers. If you look at the solutions to some of the early puzzles, there is commentary that "so many people got this wrong answer" etc. I'm not sure when we changed, though, but now your only reward the personal satisfaction of a job well done. |

You don't
For example, Q-man got it. He didn't nothing else.
In some puzzle, you can respond in a manner that let's other people who know the solution know you know it. |

Got it, thanks to mrs. math teacher!
What, you expected me to spoil it here?
BTW, one of the answers above is wrong, in that the unique third anagram should have been used, leaving the other one for mrsmathteacher's list. |

Good one!
A quick look for the obvious shows the first letters spelling "vervier tools and insect airhole." (Okay, I added three missing links) |

I DISCOVERED SOMETHING HUGE:
Most of the anagrammed words only have one other anagram:
1 verbose
2 elapse
3 rested
4 vainest
5 idolatry
6 eluded
7 remain
8 teased
9
10 owlets
11 latches
12 streaming
13 auctioned
14 nametags
15 demand
16 infest
17
18 sinew
19
20 cinema
21 thread
22 angle or genal
23 irately
24 rescind
25 heights
26 overt
27 lemons
28 earnest
But now I am stuck... |

14. magnates/magentas
15. damned/madden
16. ?? The unrivaled fencer claims ruses as the secret to his success.

23. reality/tearily
24. discern/cinders
