I had the highest point total in Scumleague, and I even finished well, putting up triple digits in the final five weeks, with the highest score in weeks 13 and 14 and the second highest in weeks 15 and 16. Unfortunately, Tally had the highest week 16. The Bears defense gave me hope in the first half, but couldn't keep Peterson and Rice out of the endzone...
But I still win the AC, which of course is far more important...
Not a bad year for me, but of course a down year compared to last year. My last remaining chance at a non-AC title is in the final Auction league I did... down 15, but ESPN has me favored by 18 this week, so not out of it. |

Peterson could be a killer...
And unless Shiancoe has a record breaking day, I should have the GL cup in the bag.... BOW TO ME! |

Eh, I think it would've been worse to win/lose because they got the stat called wrong.
Tally may get her title this year in Scumleague, though... I'm up 20, but she has Rice and Peterson tonight. Yahoo is projecting a tie (and I'd win the tiebreaker), but I'm not at all confident in their projections on those two. |

| OK, it's a relief I'm not going crazy (at least not that much), but it kinda sucks to win that way. |

| Ouch... that's two years in a row Tally has been knocked out by a stat change (last year, she initially made the Scumleague playoffs in a tie for 4th on both record and total points, thanks to a better final week, but had one point taken off, pushing her to 5th). |

You had. If you check the Yahoo's League Notes, Warner had a TD pass changed to a lateral, which cost Tally 4 points and the spot in the finals. |

And with Jason Campbell getting injured, it looks like Tally is going to face me in the GL Super Bowl.

As of right now, Tynes leads Campbell 5-0.
It doesn't help that the Giants have roughly a 19 minutes to 3 minutes advantage in time of possession. |

In the event that a playoff game ends in a tie, the deadlock will be broken using the following system:
1. Most touchdowns scored by entire starting roster.
2. Most fantasy points by starting quarterback(s).
3. Most fantasy points by starting defensive team(s).
4. Most fantasy points by starting defensive player(s).
5. Most fantasy points by starting defensive back(s).
6. Most fantasy points by starting defensive linemen.
7. Most fantasy points by starting wide receiver(s).
8. Most fantasy points by starting running back(s).
9. Most fantasy points by starting tight end(s).
10. Most fantasy points by starting kicker(s).

At the moment, you have two TDs, Tally has three, so it depends on Campbell.
10 isn't a huge number for a kicker; Tynes is averaging 9 for the season. And 13 for a QB may not be anything special, but a few good QBs have scored less than that this week (Brees, Favre, Brady).
(Part of this is wishful thinking on my part - a big game from Tynes would help two of my teams. Apart from that, though, I hope you win; you haven't won the league yet, Thok and Tally have.) |

| I don't know about that... 10 points for a kicker is a lot, while 13 for a QB is not anything special. I wonder what the tie breaker procedure is, head-to-head result I presume. |

I don't know, Tynes staying within three of Campbell isn't *that* far fetched.
(Scumleague 1 will be mith vs. Tally, unless Nicks and Jacobs combine for 50... the two of us have combined for four of the five titles since we started the league.) |

| I don't see why everyone uses 1v1 results. There's nothing you can do about the points your opponent scores. Why not just use raw point total? |

I thought it was amusing that in the Scumleague series scored the fourth highest total points , only to be negated by the second highest total points against, placing me firmly in the back of the pack.
That means pretty much everyone played their best game of the season against me. |

Just for amusement, Dead Parrots had a fairly exciting 0 last week.
All of its players (including those on the bench) scored 0, but that includes the QB having 157 yards, 1 TD, and 5 interceptions. |

GL Week 15: IS vs. Pooky
Tally is in good shape to make up the 10 points in the GL matchup, and IS has a decent shot of overturning the Scumleague result... but with my win over Pooky, I've got the AC title wrapped up.
Tally and I will face each other next week in the Scumleague playoffs, unless MoS fails to score 18 with 4 players tonight (in which case I get the 1 seed and Tally plays MoS in round 1).
[edit]Tally and IS split their matches, and MoS failed to get 18 in Arizona's miserable performance last night, so Tally and I won't meet until the Scumleague final or 3rd place game, if we both win or both lose this week.[/edit] |

My climb back up the GL standings has met a tragic end, but that means not AC games in the GL for me...
Tally has a maximum of four AC games remaining; if I beat Pooky this week in Scumleague, or if Tally loses either of her games, I clinch my second AC title. If all three games this week go her way, we will meet in the first round of the Scumleague playoffs. (I would still have a chance if she won that too; I would need Pooky over Tally for the GL final. But hopefully it won't come to that.) |

At least Peterson didn't put it out of reach tonight... A good game from Rice could get me there...
The silver lining as far as missing the playoffs goes is that it may help me in the AC; I'm beating Tally this week, and if I drop out of the playoffs here I would only need to beat Pooky next week to clinch the AC title.
Favre's annoying garbage time touchdown just now makes it likely I am going to lose in the local league, and will need a win next week. Pah. Going to make the playoffs in Scumleague and BGGleague, and all three auctions. |

Even an IS loss may not help me now; SS is ahead on total points.
I need either:
Ray Rice and Crosby to outscore Peterson and Jennings by 13
Or:
Breaston to outscore Sidney Rice by 15 AND Ray Rice and Crosby to outscore Favre and Packers D by 10.

Of the seven highest scores put up this season:
1st highest was by jester... against the 6th highest, by Pooky.
2nd highest was by Thok... against the 3rd highest, by Pooky. (Ouch)
4th highest was this past week by SS... against the second highest of the week, Thok.
And two were against The Dead Parrots... though Tally and I can't consider those completely wasted, since the last playoff spots may come down to total points... and at least I wasn't facing Thok or Pooky that week! |

Whew. Moss had me worried, but he and Meachem did enough.
With the win over IS, I have a two game lead with two to play and 100+ points over all the potential wild card challengers, so I have basically clinched; Tally is in as well, and Pooky is eliminated from even the Consolation bracket, so a mith-Tally matchup is the only potential playoff matchup in Scumleague...
Over here, however, we're all going to be 7-5, and if I can beat recent nemesis L'l, we might all make the playoffs - if that happens, we'd have four AC matchups week 14. There will almost certainly be at least one first round GL playoff matchup in the AC, unless there is some huge swing in point totals somewhere.
If I can knock off Tally this week, I'll have a little breathing room, but a potential Scumleague playoff matchup may decide things. |
