Quick question for lexprod (spoiler-ish, so I'll put it in invis text):
What would've happened, challenge-wise, if the game had gone to a 3-player endgame? |
Actually, what would have happened is...everyone gets separated for an isolation phase and the remaining mafia at that point would choose the night kill. Then everyone comes back -that night- for another final tribunal. No immunities, all 3 players get a vote and if there is a tie you just vote again (the mafia is pretty much going to latch on either of the other two player's votes so it's not likely there's a 3-way). All the players knew how it was going to work, and Marcus would have explained when they all showed back up at the tribunal. No private discussion time in between either.
What do you mean by how the NK "actually" worked Amb?
And yeah, tribunal just sounded like a military court type thing, and I wanted the idea of a trial or some sort. |

| By the way, I don't think "Tribunal" is the proper term here. Doesn't that mean "Rule by 3"? |

Definitely interesting. I wish we could see more of how the night kills actually worked. It was a nice touch to see the mafia operating by phone.
One wonders how a format could be expanded to cover a whole series.
And if Lexprod ever runs a Survivor-esque game - I am so very in. I better start saving money to travel to US of A ASAP. |

I'm guessing that there would be no amnesty available in the final round. Otherwise, you could have the ugly scenario where the mafia wins amnesty, so the mafia wins the game. But if there's no amnesty, then there's really nothing to play for. (Unless you want to play for the privilege of being able to break ties, or something.) |

| MAFIA is premiering it's first episode TUESDAY May 4th at 8pm on ICTV local channel 16, as well as streaming on ICTV.org. It will be on the site shortly after, and the rest of the series can be seen at the Workshop screening on Friday the 14th, or on ICTV.org later this month. |

No, the people who are out are just going the #%%@ home cause I don't wanna have to "store" them somewhere.
Our shoot starts Monday! I'm currently freaking out planning-wise and because I (naturally) started coming down with something. We shoot mon-wed (tuesday if the town plays perfect) and then I'm leaving thursday to fly out to LA to say hi to my internship connections/insinuate that I'm graduating in 2 months and want WORK. Here's hoping I arrive back in town monday alive. |

Darn, wish I could come. Good luck on your venture though! And be sure to post plenty of videos. No spoilers though.
Are you planning on providing a 'ponderosa' for those members of the town that are lynched/killed? |

Like most modern reality shows, I've decided NOT to actually kill anyone on the program . |

Sounds great! Will there be over-the-top screaming and buckets of blood?
I can see it now: arterial bleeding that splatters all over the mafia member who executed the victim. Then, the next morning, he shows up with tons of crusty, dried blood all over him. He acts perfectly normal, participating in the conversation and the voting, and no one notices a thing.
Or were you NOT going for cheap laughs? |

Hey GLers. I'm planning a student video project that will be a reality game show version of the popular game "Mafia." Since I know we have many fans of the game here, I thought I'd ask if anyone in the area was interested. It'll take place in Upstate NY, probably in Ithaca.
The show will shoot from the 15th to 18th of March, 2010, you would need to provide your own housing in upstate new york for that time (exact location will be determined by december). If you're interested and free, email me at my normal email or MafiaOnTV atgoogle'semailserivce.
And of course, once I get the show together I'll share it with all you guys when it's online. |
