I'd actually like to request a similiar thing. Back when I was active more in 2002-2005 I had capabilities to lock the thread and edit posts; etc. I took a bit of a Hiatus and I no longer have these abilities.
So, I am also requesting moderator privileges for the mafia games forum if possible. I already have a few games in mind down the road that I would like to moderate as well. It's definitely helpful to have those type of abilities when you are moderating a game; my game should be starting tonight or tomorrow.
Please consider it, thanks! |

| I've been an admin for quite few years. I still don't know why. Well, that isn't entirely true. I asked for permission to post in GL Puzzles. I expected to become a moderator but somehow I became an admin. I hope nobody ever takes the power away from me! |

On the actual subject of moderators-- we really don't have that many moderators. I think we would have more if it weren't for the IP checking button, the fact that moderators can edit other people's posts without a trace, and power hungry admins who don't want to share.
I also feel we don't -need- excessive numbers of moderators. The content on the GL has been pretty mature and most of our users are adults. About all I do is fix the occasional broken [url], [img], or {quote} tag and deal with the few spam posts. |
I agree that this is one of the nice places (dare I say on the entire interwebs) that doesn't need constant policing by mods. Frankly, the only reason why I'm a mod (other than hosting the random Mafia game) is to do work on the Mafia Archived games list. |

Don't you mean the word "grammer" should be spelled "grammar" and "im" is properly written as "I'm" or "I am"? Use complete sentences, y0.
What should we do about one word sentences? Eliminate. |

There is one for Mafia the Usergroup "Mafia Mods"
Should there be one for VG? |

| A simple solution would be to create a usergroup "Game Moderators" and give them thread locking/unlocking controls for the Mafia Games area, and then just add/subtract group members as needed. |

I'm not sure what levels of modship are available, but is there some basic level I could get? I ask more because I'm on so much that I could address issues when others aren't around. I've had other members assume I have mod powers simply because I happen to be as ubiquitous as I am.
I promise not to break stuff. |

As to the veracity of the statement, well I'll leave that up to others to decide. |

| Ooo! Proper punctuation is now a requirement. Is good grammar required, as well? |

| I will give you mod permission for the mafia forum if you punctuate your request so that I fully understand what you are asking. |

| I play a lot of mafia games, preferring to mod than actually play, and since I've been here for like 10 years was wondering if i could have mod abilities? That way I can lock my game during the night phases, and delete posts that I feel need to be deleted in my game? |
