Looks like I'm the champion 2 years in a row. We should start playing for money
To be honest, I really got lucky this year. |

| I'm confused...Freeman was projected to get around 14 and now he is projected to get around 5 with no reason...perhaps it was supposed to be changed to 15 and somebody messed up? |

well, like I said, I was going to keep track of the deviations to the predictions yahoo makes..
So far I average 4.5 point below the predictions and 5/6 under... discount the one time I was actually over and my average drops to 9 points under prediction.
My opponents average 5.5 points over what's predicted, 4/6 over. Discount the two that were under and they average 15 points over.
Conclusion, I need to outscore my opponent by a minimum of 10 points in the predictions to even stand a chance , and about 25 points to be reasonable sure I'll win ..
*Le sigh. |

Oh c'mon. Why couldn't CSKA be playing someone in the top 4? Looks like I will be staying in 5th.
EDIT: Whoops!, looks like I lied. Moved up one slot. |

| jesternl, it was pretty funny watching the Pats game on Sunday. At least twice they commented that the Pats have to win today to stay tied with the Bills for the lead in AFC East. Then there was a comment to the effect of, "I bet you never expected to say THAT this year." |

Hey, guys. I haven't played in this game because I know that it would suck up too much of my time. I'm watching the Pats drubbing the Bills (as I predicted above) and I wondered who has Tom Brady in your game.
Edit: I spoke a little too soon. But I'm still confidant.
Edit 2: OMFG, 3 interceptions in one game. 2 are QB fault, too. I'm feeling a little sick.
Edit 3: Four?!? To what dark gods did the people of Buffalo sacrifice their firstborns?
Edit 4: Well, UMonk and any other Bills fans. Congrats on winning a crazy game. Well done. |
Actually, I have taken to sacrificing *other* people's first borns.. much more efficient |

cracking up at Zag. In my piks I got 7 of 8 games. =D
Of course in fantasy my super team has fallen apart.
Manning, injured
Jamal Charles injured and sucking anyway
Hillis, sick and didnt see that
Manningham does nothing in a win for the giants
Ryan negative points
floyd doing nothing and injured to boot
at lest the bills won. I need the colts to pull off a miracle though to complete my sunday.

Well, since my beloved Bills play Tom Brady next week, I would not have entirely minded if his knee went out.. not a full torn ACL, just enough to sideline him for next week. |
Look at it this way: If, the day before the season started, I had told you that you'll be 2-1 after three games, you would have been pretty happy with that. Right?
Well, you'll be 2-1 after three games. |

Rules don't mean anything if they don't enforce them. I guess the hit was a bit more to the side of the knees than I thought, but it was a good thing he had his knee brace on.

Well I'm screwed for the next couple of weeks if Vick doesn't bounce back from that. Completely unnecessary for Moore to drag him down at that point after his dive missed, but I'm sure he will "claim" to not know the ball was already gone.
NFL introduces new rules every year to make the league safer but does nothing to protect the QB. It's a miracle how Brady didn't get injured yesterday when a defender dove with his shoulder right on Brady's knees when he was throwing the ball. His front leg should have been planted down but somehow it lifted up. And for those of you that don't remember, that is exactly how Brady torn his ACL a couple years ago. |

I think I'm going to be a total nerd and keep a spreadsheet to track deviations to the projected scores.
I'm pretty sure almost every week last season I scored under my projections, and a fair number of times (> 0.5) my opponent scored over them. |
