You know what is hilarious about this, I didn't even think where this is from.
Shes from Rochester, NY, as in 25 miles away from me. She must be going to U of R or RIT. Amazing we have such.... interesting people around here. Then again, I grew up in Rochester, so it explains a few things about me. Chalk it up to Kodak killing our brain cells. |

| Cuddling can make you earn money and no!, I am not joking here. Cuddling has been proven to have many health benefits such as reducing stress, lower blood pressure, and releases chemicals in the body that makes you happy such as endorphins, dopamine, and oxytocin. But if you did not have someone to snuggle up with would be willing to pay someone to cuddle? New York woman Jackie Samuel is the owner of a new company called The Snuggery. At The Snuggery you can pay Jackie to snuggle with you for up to $60 per hour. Check more here. |

| it may depend on the student agreement at the university. I know that BYU has rules against unmarried students having sex and has been known to expel them. But it may be difficult to find a rule that she is braking. |

| I think that the university has a right to tell her to stop if she is doing it on their grounds, or even soliciting on their grounds. Otherwise, unless they can show she's doing something illegal, they're out of luck. |

Sounds better than counseling. Then I am paying someone to just listen and maybe give helpful advice. And no stress about if she wants to have sex... he knows she doesn’t. Note that it says women too. Sounds like it is more about compassion than intimacy.
The point I am trying to make is that physical closeness is a human need, and people have shown over and over that they are willing to pay for their needs. (I can't grow my own food... really I tried).
As for legality, I too am a legalize it and regulate it person when it comes to prostitution (it isn't going away). But I think this is closer to counseling or the like. I worry about the professionalism and her safety too. She should get an office space and dress it up like a bedroom in a building that has security. What kind of contract would be involved in something like this? |

As for the economic side...
The alternatives to getting a little friendly human contact are much more confusing and complicated. Buying drinks or meals gets just as expensive very quickly. Then there is the unknown expectations of the two parties and the mixed feeling about a future night.
You could spend $60 and just to feel lonely and rejected!
So $60/hour to relax and not worry about the stress of life seems fair enough to me. and still way too much for me to pay! |

Got it! She takes in Simon Cowell as a client? ( see the middle picture)
I wonder if she gets reviews from him: "I believe that was the worst cuddling I have ever seen!" |

There's gotta be a funny remark I can make about this. I'l be back later for that
My view: Absolutely this should be legal ( I think prostitution should be legal as well) and I think I need to start a new venture.. |

South Park had an episode where Butters ran a "Kissing Company". Which of course has a plot that quickly sways it from useful discussion.
..
Escort services are legal and not discouraged in any way that I know of. I think this can be more closely related to the (non-sexual) side of those services than prostitution.
As for legality, meh, I am with the crowd who feels the world is safer with legalized prostitution.
..
Do universities expel people for such reasons? Do they allow (legal) strippers etc to attend classes? |

Surely the Mother Goose shouldn't be legal. Where does it end?? The Three Little Pigs!!
No, but seriously, certainly this should be legal. I am still surprised though there's a demand for this.
I mean, you drive to some stranger's house, then pay them what amounts to be a generous amount of money. It seems beyond desperate to me. The whole thing gives me the willies!
Should this woman have grounds to sue the University if they expel her for running this business?

I'm with Zag on this one, for both points.
It's prostitution in its broader meaning, namely the corruption of something purely for financial gain.
I don't find it any less objectionable than a talented composer making a living writing advertising jingles.
I may be biased though in that I believe prostitution should be legalised. |

"No holds barred: The professional 'cuddler' who makes $260 a day by inviting strangers to take a nap with her at home."
From article here Woman charges $60 an hour providing cuddle time
| Quote: |
She can make $260 a day and cuddles with up to 30 men a week - including pensioners and war veterans.
However, her business 'The Snuggery' has not gone unnoticed and her college has threatened to expel her - while others have called her a prostitute.
She said: 'I think I was born knowing how to snuggle. Snuggling is healthy, spiritual and fun. |
