Spooky, DP I came to nominate Pointless as well.
Also, though it will likely be even less known, the BBC programme Only Connect |

Im sure you can you tube some.
I might nominate the British game show BreakAway. I'd love to see a million dollar version of this show. I'll link an episode later. |

I nominate the BBC show Pointless.
I have seen none of the shows listed in the first post except the two debatable ones. |

| I'm fine with lumping them together, I just want that if they are that the good version of the show doesn't get tainted by a bad version, and therefore get blown apart by a lessor show. The differences between let's say...Let's Make a Deal ( Monty Hall) Vs Let's make a deal (Wayne Brady) is quite a jump, or Whammy ( the new Press your Luck) Vs Press Your Luck ( with Peter Tomarken). |

| Perhaps, but I do think that can be discussed in the voting threads |

| My reasoning for splitting them up is that there were damn crappy versions of a show, and it may taint the original ( Ie No one cares about the 90's reboot of Match game, but if you are >30 that's all you'd remember unless you were a total Game Show Geek like me.) |

I have had a PM comment that we shouldn't be catering for different versions, reboots, etc. I tend to agree - an entry of Hollywood Squares (for example) should be just that, and not split into two. The reason I agree, is that it becomes harder to moderate. |

| and I have to say while "QI" and 'Whose line" are great shows, they are not technically Game shows, despite the format. I figure unless a true prize is being won ( IE Celebrity Apprentice) It isn't a game show. |
