Now that i've passed that exam, i found what i was looking for . It was Stolz-Cesaro Lemma and a consequence of it (the first was the consequence).

I'm just posting this for anybody else who searched for these and didn't find the answer. Yet.

i'll take an exam in the autumn, but i have no patience to find my four-years-old-notebook.

Anyone has any ideas on how (if?) to demonstrate these equalities of limits:

lim (n-th degree root of a[n]) = lim (a[n+1]/a[n])

&

lim (a[n]/b[n]) = lim((a[n+1]-a[n])/(b[n+1]-b[n]))

???

P.S. All limits are for n tends to infinity.
