A warning: there is no shortage of sarcasm or wit here at the GL. Most of the stuff that sounds confusing if taken seriously is actually a joke. Unless you're talking to Death Mage, in which case he's usually serious in the guise of sounding like an idiot.
I strongly suggest you check out the other forums. The most popular ones are Off Topic, Visitor Submitted Puzzles, Visitor Games, and The Mafia Games Forum. Pretty self explanatory.
Take no offense at personal attacks. They're usually joking. Again, unless it's death mage, then it's best just to take it with a grain of salt. Many people get the wrong impression by all of the scathing retorts and pseudo-insulting behavior. It's all in fun. Just don't insult anyone else until you get the flow of things and people know who you are. Most of all, just be yourself, and we'll all come to love you just as much as we love Buzz Borodog Extro Mackay.
Have fun

| What have you been pondering all this time? What is so confusing about fine squaws fetching top prices? |

I was tempted to say something like, "we gotta new one boys! She'll fetch a fair price at the market, this one! Or make a fine squaw".
But I thought I would let wordcross scare her away instead.

Nominally, it's a puzzle site. Behind the scenes, however, it's a hotbed of fundamentalists fomenting rebellion against an overzealous government and a bordello of people with loose morals and time to kill.
And that's just mathgrant.
either that, or it's one big joke. Well, maybe two big jokes.

You don't become a zombie by dying and then coming back to life, you become one by going through finals and getting NO sleep. i can attest to it. Did anybody get the results on challenge #5 cuz i didn't. Well that's really all i have to say. Good luck on your topics presentations everyone. TOODLES

Hello all! If you have been weeping for the lack of my illustrious presence, let me apologize. The past two weeks have been crazy. The fist week was eaten alive by the Undergraduate Research Symposium (in which I won an award), and the second was smashed by a Calc III test and having to give a presentation at the Delta Center in SLC. (Don't mind if I blow my horn a bit )
Here's some posts I wanted to reply to:

| Hey cheese...i don't think u ever told us...what is your favorite kind of cheese? |
Smoked gorgonzola, or just any smoked cheese in general.
quote: Probably looking in the dictionary to get some new big words to post so he can look smart. Or maybe he went to get some more names for types of cheeses. I don't know but i'm sure it's completely useless and a waste of time.

Glad to hear that.
Ah! The end of the semester is nigh! When I took this class, I kept looking forward to knowing who everyone else was in real life. I even went and documented identifying traits of each alias, trying to at least determine their gender. When some people admitted who they were in class, I found that I was dead wrong about one person, close about one, and right about two. Even though I don't attend your class, it would still be fun to try to guess who we are. Just an idea.
~Halloumi This delicious Cypriot cheese, has been around for hundreds of years but is just now catching on in the United States. Halloumi is made by hand from a mix of sheep's and goat's milk. The soft, springy, oval-shaped curd resembles a fresh mozzarella and has a mild yet tangy flavor. The best part is that it's so versatile. It can be grilled, grated, marinated, fried or eaten plain. An unopened packaged will keep refrigerated for a year and also can be frozen. |

~Roquefort Societe Arguably the best blue cheese in the world, Roquefort is cave-aged by the Societe fromagerie and produced entirely from ewe’s milk that has been grazing on the vast plateaus of the Aveyron. Same here Chica Chica, the main reason being my Internet connection at home is a pos dial-up . Using the internet at school is easier, and less stressfull.
But, what do y'all think of the latest challenge? It seems a little complex. Do you just aim for the middle (ie- 500) and bet that the rest of the people will do a nice half and half to either side, or do you shoot low hopeing that the high rollers will get screwed? Are people actually going to hit the high numbers like they did in the first challenge?
So many questions, and do we know when our answers are due?

Tru dat, k1l3n. I wonder if we could try to get more people in here. I guess the majority just don't enjoy intelligent conversation
~Finnish Lappi Lappi is so named because its recipe was developed in the Lapland region of Finland. It is made from partially skimmed cow's milk, which results in a cheese nearly identical to Emmental except that it is pasteurized, and so is slightly less flavorful. It is also similar to swiss cheese, but with smaller holes and a slightly firmer texture. Lappi is a favorite among those who prize a mild nature and sweet taste. It is a classic melting cheese and can be substituted in nearly all Fondue recipes. |

By the way, have you guys noticed that it's always the same little group of us who post here while most people just said "Hi" at the start and have never come back?
List of people who have posted regularly:
-Zenan -Ripple (though not recently) -Emulator -Chika-Chika -zeanea -me! -cool719 (but not as much) -and Cheese (outsider though he may be)
It's odd that out of about forty people only six or seven take an active part in these discussions.
