Yup. When I wake up tomorrow it will all be but a pleasent memory. Then we can decide if we want to go down this road again!

*Agrees with Coron*
I'm still angry that they didn't include any in the extended version, either. |

Agreed. A point in favour of RotK, (the film), is that it got rid of the complete Scouring of the Shire episode. (The 20 minutes after the destruction of the ring was still waaaay too drawn out though, but I can overlook that as on future viewings I just stop at that point.)

Not enough scouring of the shire? Having not seen either, I'll be abstaining (although I am offering an unofficial write-in of The Princess Bride), but any scouring of the shire is far too much.

Yay! We've saved the universe from ultimate evil. Now let's go solve a relatively minor problem in our small part of the world. And take another 50 pages to do it.

Too short in my opinion not enough scouring of the shire, but it's still LotR

It's funny, I always thought RotK is the worst of the LotR trilogy. It's much too long and much too gay for it to be worth anything. The book was also bleh, not half as interesting as the previous ones.

I'm putting all of my will into Lord of the Rings. If it doesn't win, my body will explode into oblivion and the universe will collapse in on itself. Unless you want the very last thought before you die to be, 'At least Shawshank won.' then vote for LotR!

Shawshank recently won a poll here in the UK for "best movie", against Citizen Kane (which *is* the best movie), and A Matter of Life and Death (which is the best British movie ever.)
I know TSR s good, but it isn't in the same league as either of them. (And nor are most - but perhaps not all? - of the other films in this tournament, but that's a whole different war ) |

I wouldn't bet that. LotR takes a few days to get going.

It looks like Shawshank is going to nab it. A pity, whilst not a bad film it would be my number 8 choice from the Quarter-Finalists

It looks like IMDB was right. The top two rated movies advance to the finals. Makes you wonder why the Godfather didn't get nearly as much love.
