It's time, once again, for a little reverse acronym craziness. This game is open for sign-up even while the game is in progress! We won't begin, however, until we have eight players signed up in this thread. After that, players may enter only between rounds (to be announced here and in the game thread).

The Rules, as best I can remember them in their last incarnation, and to be repeated in the game thread:

Rounds begin every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at noon GL time, and end three hours before the next round begins.

Submission Round:
At the beginning of each submission round, 3 to 7 randomly picked letters will be posted along with a theme. Each player should e-mail me a phrase, sentence, or sentences for which the random letters would be an acronym.

For example:
B G D could be Big Grey Dog

Inventive punctuation and spacing will be allowed, and even encouraged. Creativity is key, because after submission, we have...

Voting Round:
All entried received within the time limit will be posted anonymously. Each player must then submit their vote for best acronym. Use whatever criteria you like. Votes determine points as follows:

• Each vote received = 1 point
  
• Most votes received¹ = Bonus points equal to # of letters in acronym
  
• Vote cast for most popular acro = 1 point
  
• No vote cast = No points², period.

¹Ties for first will go to the earliest submitted entry among those tied.
²Points are awarded first, THEN cancelled for lack of participation.

When one player reaches or exceeds 30 points, that player and the second highest scorer will do a faceoff, each getting three Acronyms of increasing length. The final submissions will be posted for all to vote on, and the winner will be declared. Much fanfare will ensue.

I've realized that I made this signup a lot harder than it needs to be. Just post your /in here, then submit an acro for whichever round you're joining by the deadline for that round. You could submit one without posting here, but then I wouldn't know to look for your submission, and might delete it for fear of viruses, etc.
