Websearching is allowed. It may or may not help.

Asking friends is also allowed, though they might look at you oddly.

It feels like a few of these, especially #'s 9 and 11, might be contained in multiple movies.

Bonus points (one per movie) if you can find and confirm multiple movies. I have very specific ones in mind, but they may not be the only ones.

All received now (at least from people who have confirmed in this thread).

Vinny: I think the (nospam) thing is a safeguard against spyware that "snatches" e-mail addresses from websites and sends spam to them. I don't know if it works; I got the idea from Neo. It is not part of the address.

As of right now, there's no penalty for wrong answers (within reason -- if somebody submits multiple wrong guesses for the same one, I may reconsider). There will be no penalty for skipped answers either.

If anyone can confirm the existence of a scavenger item in one of the "wrong" movies, saying which scene it appears in, etc. then the scores can be adjusted accordingly. For this reason, to keep things unbiased, I won't say who gave the "wrong" answers.

My favorite made-up movie answer: Lepton's #8, "Spies That Fry."
My favorite quote: kevinatilusa on #3, "I'm not sure, except searching for naked woman swiss watch was not the way to go about it."
My second-favorite quote: Werebear on #8: "...and the bunny wasn't cute!"
Easiest clue: #13 (everyone got it)
Hardest clue: #3 (only three people got it)
Clue which generated the most wrong answers: #6

1.) A Bible with a hole in it that's the size and shape of a rock hammer - The Shawshank Redemption

2.) A wedding cake shaped like an armadillo - Steel Magnolias
Wrong answers: The Wedding Singer

3.) A Swiss "repeater" watch with a picture of a naked woman inside the case - For Richer, For Poorer
Wrong answers: Tomorrow Never Dies

4.) A Ping-Pong paddle printed with an image of Chairman Mao - Forrest Gump
Wrong answers: M*A*S*H

5.) A sword designed for a six-fingered man - The Princess Bride

6.) A toy Tyrannosaurus Rex with a bomb in its belly - Collateral Damage
Wrong answers: Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Toys, Superman II, The Rock, Die Hard With a Vengeance

7.) A frying pan engraved with the names and phone numbers of four spies - Jumpin' Jack Flash

8.) A valuable emerald hidden inside a cute ceramic bunny rabbit - Romancing the Stone

9.) A leather-bound journal autographed by Adolf Hitler - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
(half credit goes to kevinatilusa for Schtonk! because the diaries in that one were forgeries, not "actually" signed by Hitler)

10.) A sled named Rosebud - Citizen Kane

11.) A poisoned dress - Elizabeth
Alternate full-credit answer which I hadn't thought of - Medea (given by kevinatilusa)
Wrong answers: The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, Batman and Robin

12.) A watermelon in a vise - The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension
("Do I get bonus points for knowing the full Buckaroo
Banzai title?" -- OST)
Wrong answers: Casino, Gallagher in Concert

13.) DNA extracted from a mosquito fossilized in amber - Jurassic Park

14.) A carpetbag that apparently contains a plant, a hat stand, and a large mirror - Mary Poppins

15.) A "little black box" concealed in an answering machine - Sneakers

16.) A cat's collar containing a shrunken galaxy - Men in Black

17.) A flower-shaped alarm clock that says "Out of bed, you daisy-head!" - Sister Act
Wrong answers: The Maid, What About Bob?, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure

And now...the results.

mikegoo: 17
kevinatilusa: 16 1/2
Tahnan: 15
Werebear: 15
Duphrates: 13
Eykir/Elayne/L'lanmal (team): 10
Orbiting: 10
RequiemEternam: 10
One Skunk Todd: 9
Vinny: 9
dethwing: 8
Lepton: 5

Congratulations to mikegoo, and thanks to everyone who played!

ones I missed - Buckaroo Banzai, and Sister Act. I swore that alarm clock on the wall said that in "The Maid" (Martin Sheen movie).

I would have gotten 11 on my own, without googling, including the watch with the naked woman inside it. Not sure what that says about me, not sure I want to know.

I (and several of the other teachers in my office) enjoyed this a lot. We only had to look up 1 between us (Elizabeth). I had 11 I was sure of before asking others and/or searching. Thanks for running this HH.
