Round 8: Logical Signs

The 5 of you have been put into a dungeon. There are 8 sections of the dungeon, and in each you will find a certain number of signs posted over a certain number of doors. Some will be true, some will be false. You must ascertain which door is the correct door to pass through. If you enter the wrong door, you are out. The objective is for at least 1 person to make it through all 8 sections.

This is how it will work. I will post the current round, along with the number of doors and what all the signs say. You will then have 24 hours for discussion. After that, no more discussing. Then you will have another 24 hours to send in which door you wish to enter. That is, each person makes their own descision. I will then reveal who survived.

Btw, I'm protesting that Mac got the immunity. I could have taken mine down to 0 easily. Termital was replaced in time for Mac to get higher than 0, and he had no reason to take it to 0 (the immunity does him no good).

Above each is a sign:

A: Only one of these signs is false
B: This is the door you should through

If that statement ("Only one of these statements is false") is true, the the other ("This is the right door to go through") must be false, so then you go through A.

If statement A is false, then you can't have one true one false. Since we are already assuming that A is false, they can't both be true. Which means that both are false, and Statement B is therefore wrong, so we got through A.

I'll go through Door C. I'm not sure whether you intended C to be a command rather than a true/false statement or not, makes it an interesting problem though.

It was a true/false statement. in other words, the next "safe room" is beyound C. Which it's not.

Mith dies. Moles win this round.

And that's it for the first run of EtM.

The moles kill off a player, it doesn't matter which one.

Now there are 2 players and 2 moles. Players no longer have the votes to get a mole out. Moles can continue untill they lose a game, and win on the following round.

Congrats to Mith and DS for seeing this through and boooo to everyone else who stopped paying attention.

deth, my point was that, as worded, it's a command. As such, it's neither true or false, and so the right door would be B. w00t and stuff, though, another game finally over.

dethy, you split the choices etc. into two seperate 24 hour periods. the first was for discussion, of which i saw none, so i didn't remember to check back in the thread, so i forgot to send in a choice. I think in the future that you should indicate to people in this kind of game that it is e-mail intensive and requires active participation. And make sure that people confirm before you start playing, so that they're aware that they signed up
