Who want to try? Play it like in real life, imagine gravity at work. You must fill from bottem up. (drop pieces from the top down a slot)
Get 4 in a row & you win (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal). Tie if entire board if filled up with no winner.

umm the usual board is 6 rows and 7 columns...
And i don't know if i want to play. I used to think i'm pretty good at it, until i bumped into a computer program which constantly beat me at the easiest level...

Game in 2.5
Well played both of you.
In future games, would be be better to play with only 7 stacks instead of 9? |

B2.
Why 7, Lepton? What's the difference?
We played on the 9x9 b/c it was available from the GO UBB code Hy made. Now if we can get Hy to make the code so that we can specify X number of rows and columns ... well, the possibilites for ALL types of games are endless. |

Vin, as i said, the standard board is 7 wide x 6 high... I think on this 9x9-er you could play a connect 5!

| I'm relatively sure connect 5 would be a draw game. Even with full flexibility or movement (ignoring the limitations of gravity), it's tricky to get 5-in-a-row against a seasoned opponent. |

| I am just curios, why is the standard 7x6? What difference does it make? Does it make the game easier or something? |

| The box for the game needs must be reasonably small, the pieces reasonably large (to prevent swallowing). Plus, 42 checkers is cheaper to supply than 81. |

82, pete.
Vin, i think the players have much more possible combinations on a large board. As for if it's easier or harder, i couldn't say. We would need to have more games like this!
