Okay, if all the questions get answered, then feel free to continue with some of your own, if only for thread longevity. I tried real hard to think of some odd and obscure questions, so don't pee on my bonfire too quickly, eh?

1. One (fairly famous on the Web) music track by The Laziest Men on Mars was created using dialogue from a game called Zero Wing. TLMoM then went on to do another track based on a game - which game?

2. How many Grand Theft Auto games have there been in total? (And for a bonus point - what is the link between GTA and Question 4?)

3. Which fast food restaurant appears in Crazy Taxi?

4. Which game features the line 'I'm gonna rip off your head and s*** down your neck'?

5. True or False: 'Bemani' is the term used to describe rhythm action games.

I know that my videogame knowledge is fairly limited (SEGA who?) but try to act like you have no idea what I'm on about, if only to boost my teenage Limey ego. ^_^

2. You mean entitled GTA or related to GTA? Cause if it's the first, i'd say three . I think four is the right answer if 'Vice City' would also count. Or were there more of them?

*rubs hands together, gleefully*

1. Uh... Zelda?

2. Four if you don't count Vice City, five if you do. Let's see... GTA 1, GTA 1 London/UK Edition, GTA 2, GTA 3, and perhaps Vice City. Bonus point: Mafia and GTA both have Mafia/Gangsters in them, giving you your missions.

3. Kentucky Fried Chicken.

4. I actually remember quite a few games with lines like that. Can't remember if one had it exactly, though. Perhaps Mafia, or Gangsters?

5. False.

Now, please tell me how many I got right, so I can ask some questions of my own.

*shrugs* Maybe I just know, or think I know, most of the answers because I'm a teenage Limey too?

Lepton: Correct! Y'see bemani isn't the descriptive word, but the actual term, so I kinda tried to trick you with that, but you were too smart for me.

rlp: You have qustions 2, 3 and 5 right! yay!

I got more than one right? Yay! [/upbeatedness]

New questions... Hmm... *grins evilly*

6. 'Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, Start' What is this (maybe) famous series of commands commonly known as? Answered, by jesternl

7. Everyone has at least known of the Final Fantasy series of games, right? Now, there was another series of games that, for three of it's games, took a very similar name, perhaps in an attempt to leech players of the more popular series, perhaps not. What was the name of the entire series, not the name of the games that took the similar name? For bonus points, either name the two latest members of the series, both of which appeared on the PSX, or any of the series that appeared on the SNES.

Can't think of a third question. Oh well. I figure everyone may have problems with #7.

Not infinite...only 30. And I still managed to lose them all by the third level.

and isn't there a select before the start or something?

Heh. I play Contra too much. I beat it the other day, starting with 3 lives. Finished with 9 lives. The only lives I lost were both at the very end, one of those spider things just barely got me both times.

Because of this, I came up with another challenge. I play it without shooting anything non-essential (bosses, the door lock things in 2 and 4, the spikey walls in 7). I can do the first level without dying about 50% of the time (and only losing one life most of the rest; depends on how lucky I get on the boss). Less practice on later levels, but I've beat it within the 30 lives before (once).

I'd almost argue against you on number five being true =) What definition of bemani did you have in mind?

Well, my viewpoint is that bemani isn't the descriptive term for rhythm action, but the ACTUAL term.

Okay, accepted =) From research, i found Bemani is just the division of Konami that publishes/creates rhythm games, and most people I know use Bemani to classify rhythm games. I wondered whether it was the action part that made it false.

I can see that it's not really a fully-accepted term. Thanks for the clarification!
