As many of you have seen, the moderators are getting new titles almost every day. This is not my fault. After setting it to Ariadnean Courk whined that it was an ugly name. Quail suggested that we change it to "Herculean", I think as a joke, and Courk demanded that I change it.
mithrandir thought this was "silly" and suggested I change it to "Dead Alien" until a compromise could be reached. If they don't come to a decision soon, I think I will change them to "Whiney Moderators". I told Courk about the "dead alien" title, and she seemed to like it. I assume merc will. Quail never whines about anything so I'm sure he'll be okay with it.

I think you should let us vote on what they get called!! Post it as a puzzle and I'm sure we can come up with some great names with some meaning....
In the meantime, I like the Dead Aliens.... |

One suggestion: According to a mythology site, Daedalus was apprenticed to Athena. Perhaps you could use "Athenian Moderators".

It's not pronounced air-ee-add-knee, it's R-ee-add-knee. The way I was pronouncing it sounded...whiney...seriously... |

Well then, they have to live with it. A vote wouldn't have even been considered, had there not been some 'whining' over the original designations.
And besides, what's the point? In the last couple of days I've seen 'Ariadnean', 'Herculean', and 'Dead Alien' flip-flopping around over the 'moderator' title, like you were trying on different hats to see which fit you best. What's wrong with simply wearing no hat at all and sticking with 'moderator'?
I've been around long enough to remember all of you when you were just ordinary Dead Aliens. You'd all already earned my respect before you were granted the moderator titles. Why should you feel the need to put on airs now?

I didn't demand Hy. I told you herculean sounded better than air-ee-add-knee. R-ee-add-knee sounds good though. And I didn't whine that much. You make me sound like a 3 year old. |
