this game is going really slow

I agree and I wonder why. Is it because the roles are not revealed immediately? Is it because the set-up is boring? This is my tenth game or so, and I have never run a game that was so lacking in participation.

It's because the first 3 days and nights we were stumbling around in the dark. And a lot of us are unsure as to what roles are good/bad for we are not up to date on all pop and rock music.

To the townspeople: There was a problem, and no new information shall be revealed today. Sorry!!!

Yeah, TC emailed me telling me she'd be gone, but I didn't get it.

I'll stick with Ameb, but we can do a no lynch if no one has any strong feelings. Maybe our two kills will take care of each other.

So, going to avoid voting, everyone?

Hm? What did you mean by that?
(And, P'tet, I thought you said you didn't vote for no reason.)

If people are going to be voting for me, I'd like it if they had a reason other than "just to get the day over with". Find something I can argue against. I'm not one of the more important roles in the game, and I've helped kill the wrong people, but killing me won't help the town any more than no lynch would. Especially since I remember that at least two of the people voting for me are innocent (or probably innocent), so looking at my bandwagon won't give much information.

(I believe that neither IS nor q is in the game. And, P'tet, it can be a valid excuse. But not usually. Especially not in this case, when you will gain absolutely no information about the people on the wagon. Except maybe L'layne. Since PP and mith are innocents and you're just bandwagoning to end the day.)

My role is... um. *checks* Leonard Cohen. I could tell you my description, but I'd rather not. Especially since I've made a fairly major mistake with my role already. More than fairly. I'll tell my description if you need me to tell, but I don't see how it would help anything, except clarify one thing DP's said.

vote update - 7 to lynch or 4 at deadline Monday 2PM

Ameb 4 (L'layne, PP, mith, Polotet)
Degenerate 1 (Kazooish)

Those players who have not cast any vote for the past seven (real-life) days will have 72h after the coming game's night to do so. Otherwise, they die of a heart attack. This concerns Ameb, Corsato, Logain, Lucrecia, Mike_Amok, Porro and The Critic.

BTW I agree that the lack of info regarding dead people is slowing the game / causing people to lose interest. It makes it harder to develop theories, and monitor voting patterns...that's not to say I do that to a great extent, but it certainly helps when there's little else to go on.

Ugh! What is wrong with you people? "Hey, let's have a bandwagon against someone not proven innocent. We'll have to pick off the known innocents during the night, so this'll just help it go faster." Here, I'll show you the arguments against me that I've seen:
Quote:
Vote: Ameb Why? Ameb lasted posted on 11-7-02, but not in this thread. Since Ameb has been posting somewhere, he should be able to see this and defend himself if he cares to. Lynching someone who isn't even checking the GL gains us nothing, unless we get lucky and he is evil.

I defended myself from that as well as I could, as there was nothing to defend against. Yes, I was there. I posted. Why's this vote still on me?
Quote:
Vote: Ameb So, going to avoid voting, everyone?

Quote:
Still nothing out of The Critic... guess I'll Vote: Ameb just to get things going.

Now, those two votes have so much new evidence I don't know where to begin to defend myself....
Quote:
I'm going to vote: ameb, just to get something done today.

"Hey, people other than Ameb haven't been speaking today. This sucks. I'll vote for Ameb so I can feel like we did something useful, but it still looks like I don't really want to kill an innocent." P'tet, you do realise that the only thing this will accomplish is to lose an innocent at the deadline we would've had anyway, right? vote: P'tet
And then The Critic asks me to reveal my role, so I halfway do, and then I get voted for so someone doesn't have a heart attack? I'm sure there will be so many more suspicious people for you to sort through after a half-hearted, logicless bandwagon kills me. As much as I hate having real bandwagons against me, at least it's not as frustrating as when I'm being killed for no reason at all because none of you wants to think about whether I've even done anything suspicious or not once you've voted.

And as the deadline passes, Ameb finds herself in the uncomfortable situation of having enough votes for a deadline lynch...

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

Ameb is no more. She was telling the truth, though. She was Leonard Cohen, a townie who could chose to drive a player to suicide any night by her gloomy songs.

Other outstanding role revalations:

Soothsayer was Enya, a townie whose soothing music could put someone asleep at night (not voting by day) every time he wanted to.

Nauplius was Steve Strange, a townie who could steal something from a selected player every night - the item would give him an indication of the role.

Bigfella was Stewart Copeland, member of the Police. The Police members get the pop/rock name of a selected player every night.

DPW was Cliff Richard, townie who was searching for the satanist rock mafia members. Every night he would submit a player and learn whether that player was a satanist or not.

Werebear was Elvis Presley, a townie who could once during the game select a player whom he as guardian angel would prevent from all harm (for as long as Elvis lived).

With all roles revealed, perhaps we can conclude this game with a bit more participation.

Night falls.... emails before Thursday 10AM please....

Day breaks

Just one death to report - but a vital one. The Critic has been split into two by a chainsaw. Her last request, writen in her own blood, is to disperse her ashes over the Amazon rain forest. Sting, member of the Police, is no more.

Eleven players remain. Six to lynch. And the 72 hours time to get your votes in (or else) starts.... NOW.

DP revealed all the roles of the dead, so I'm guessing the SK attempted to kill someone protected by a doc. Which would mean another doctor-type is out there besides Elvis.
