Hey!

Is there any chance that there will be an icon for the discussion forum on the main page? That would be a really nice feature!

Pasted from the thread: Discussion Forum
---------------------------------------------
"I would like to see a fixed button or link on the main page that points to the discussion forum. When I see that the puzzle is old, I like to go to the forum. However, there isn't always a link immediately visable on the main page, and it keeps moving.
Maybe an additional icon under the buttons.

In fact, perhaps archives could be under puzzles, and Forum could take it's place. That seems natural. Hmmm.

Nick"

I also just wrote the minotaur. It is hard to find a link to the new forum, especially when it's not on the front page. If I go to read the puzzles, then try to hop to the forum it takes me to the old one. If he wants to migrate, maybe he should go through the site and replace all of the links with "New Forum" links. To keep everyone happy, he can put, "It's dying, and will soon be closed for posts, but you can still go the Old Forum also."

Something like that. I'm on a cable modem, and it still bugs me when I click on forum and wind up at the old one.

Nick

What are you talking about? I use this Grey Labyrinth main page. It HAS a "Discussion" icon just like the one on top of this topic/forum. Where is the "Forum" you click on, Nick?

Why in the world did you dig THIS old thread up? Lemme let you in on a little secret: things CHANGE! Back in October (when this tread was written) we were just making a transition from the old to the new forum. There was no direct lint to the the new forum. The only way to access it was to to to the 'puzzles' page, go to an OLD puzzle, go to the 'solutions' page and only then could one find a link to this forum. Obviously this was a huge bother to go though every time we wanted to go check up on the new posts.

Eventually (after much whining on our part) The Minotaur was kind enough to change the 'fase' icon to link to the new forum (or was that later? My memory's kinda fuzzy). It used to be the 'feedback' link I believe (though I liked the penny ones better! )
And that's the whole story!

P.S. Next time, *PLEASE* don't dig up ancient links and critisize them if you have no clue what you're talking about. Thank you.

If the problem has been resolved - would it not be a good idea to delete the thread to avoid confusing newbies like us?

Wow... I didn't even realize it had changed! I just always assumed it was still a feedback link! I must have missed the announcement.
