I have a suggestion for this site that might want the people to post more often. I have noticed that the users are either moderators or deadalian member. I was wondering if it would be a good idea if there were more ranks then people would want to post more to get a higher rank (oh sweet vanity).

P.S. I noticed a grammar mistake on the links page, "Brain Teasers: An h..."

Kaatar, if you read some of the threads, you will realise the problem is that people post too much! Please read the threads!
PS I didn't notice any mistake.

Firstly, Kaatar, my man (or woman...), you're not the first to suggest this. It has been suggested before, and I feel that most shared the belief that creating higher and higher ranks would increase the number of posts posted for no good reason. Most agree that 30 posts is usually a good limit to tell between rather frequent posters and someone who's just posted once.

Secondly, a word beginning in 'h' is should be preceded by 'an', because 'h' is sometimes silent, and that's what some old guy from England decided.

Thank you for your time.

First you insult my manhood and then you slag my intellegence. All of this after just one post. To get back at you I will barate you with Simpson quotes. And frequently make spelling mistakes.
So what your telling me is that you pronounce it "ilarious"? What kind of crazy fool would do such a thing? So you would pronounce the word "hair" as "air"? Call me a crazy man who likes to eat fish on a Monday morning but I don't pronounce it like that at all. If you want to make a fool of this fish then speak spanish or forever hold it's piece.
Till another day

P.S. "ow airy are ippos"?

Geez, soooorry. Go ahead, you can insult my manhood and slag my intelligence. I don't care . I was just sayin' that this has already been discussed, and you'd assuredly get that response from someone else if i hadn't said it first. I'm not making fun of you or anything, it's not like you're expected to know everything that goes on around here (run-on sentence! prime target!) Then I slagged your intelligence. I'm sorry, that was inappropriate.

There is still some divergence of opinion over the form of the indefinite article to use preceding certain words beginning with h-when the first syllable is unstressed: " a historical document" or "an historical document"; "a hotel" or "an hotel". The form depends on whether the initial h is sounded or not: an was common in the 18th and 19th centuries, because the initial h was commonly not pronounced for these words. In standard modern English the norm is for the h to be pronounced in words like hotel and historical, and therefore the indefinite article a is used; however, the older form, with the silent h and the indefinite article an, is still encountered, especially among older speakers.
So there. You are both right. Now please stop arguing. (although I do enjoy watching a good insult match )
