Avidgamers is known for chronic bandwidth problems. The site design is abismal and you have to login/apply for an account. There are plenty of dead links and the site offers sparse content.
Perhaps all of this because I didn't create an account, but I'd rather spend 10 minutes typing this than 5 minutes applying, hours waiting, etc... |

For anybody reading after me, I wouldn't suggest wasting your time by clicking the link. There are popups, an impossible to navigate design, sub-competent information, and next to nothing in the the (no)Help area works. All of this without attempting to apply for an account to log in and see the members area. |

| Well, I'd like to give a differing opinion, being a member of the site. I think you guys are a little too hard on the site, as it is new and is growing rather quickly. I saw the site when it was very young, and they are adding lots of stuff quickly. Avidgamers may have pop ups, but the mafia site largly doesn't. Also, I've realized the "applying for membership" thing really isn't a pain, they get back to you in like 12 hours, and has a small benefit, it kinda acts as a lurker filter, as would be lurkers wouldn't bother with the apply for a membership thing. Finally, I actually kinda like the game I'm playing over there because you have people from different boards with their own styles of play, which is refreshinging to say the least. |

ok, to answere some thigns, and respond to others.
there are NO pop-ups on AG, or on my site.
bandwidth is not a problem, as my site has never gone down.
new things are CONSTANTLY added to the site.
applying may be a pain, but you will NEVER wait more than a day to get back to you. it's more like 3 hours. if not immediately.
moderators mod the boards to prevent spam, but most likely, there wil be none.
like Darkblade said, the apply thing is a lurker filter. if you can't take tiem to apply to reap the benefits of being a member, go away.

Something I can get at mafscum or radwulf's boards.
Your site showed me no benefits to being a member. What little I saw turned me off to it.
Don't advertise here unless you're willing to take some dings and criticism and downright bashing |

Also, you know how long it took me to become a member at this site? Approximately 3 seconds. Maybe 2. Waiting a range of 60-240 times the amount of time I waited for this site simply doesn't make sense.
What's wrong with a lurker? Am I missing something? I "lurked" this site for a few days before I registered. It's kinda like a free preview. I got to know the site to a certain extent.
