There's quite a discussion roaring in the GL chat room at this very moment about the members who wil be administrating the GL Open Content Project.

Besides many people who would like to "get in on the action", I believe the general concensus is that the project is already too big and bulky. Some people feel that the moderators already have enough on their plates and don't need the added responsibility.

I think it's time that all the opinions are heard, if for no other reason than to put my mind to rest. I'm greatly anticipating the success of GLOC, and I want to help out however I can.

To conclude, I will follow the name of this forum as I ask:
-Will the GLOC run smoothly with the numbers and members it currently holds?
-Is there any way I as an average type can help?

I don't agree with your statment. Moderation is a cake job.

I will voice my opinion that I think it would be unfair that the moderators are allowed to do both. Everyone wants to help out, and it just seems unfair that a few members should have all the fun.

I would even go so far as to say that if you want to be part of GLOC, you should give up your moderation status.

That is just my opinion, and should not be taken to be worth anything listening to.

i heard lots, but that's probably 'cause I'm a lowly peon with my face in the ground.

Pick up good vibrations that way.
