After posting a message you always get thrown back to the first page of a topic, while most topics span several pages.
I don't know if it's even possible, but can't that be changed so you end up at the page on which your reply is posted?

We've talked about this before. Minotaur doesn't like to change the ubb code, as doing so would make upgrading the code later more difficult.

The current system does work good in one case though...if a Chess game has carried on long enough to reach page 2 or 3, after I post my move I get sent back to page 1 so I can edit the board!

I can move the screen to the most current page. I can tell it to span the first post of a thread to be the first post on every page. I can give the thread starter an option about where to send the users that reply to the thread. There you go, three ideas.
