Maybe this has already been requested, but I would still like to see it.

There are a few topics that span multiple pages, i would like to see away, to select which page you want to see, or even default to the newest page, that way we won't have to select the topic, then select the page, we can just select the topic, or page, and be on the newest posts.

I do like the idea of defaulting to the newest page. We usually don't re-read the old stuff. It is not a lot of extra time, but it is one needles page that has to load.

I'm not wild about this idea. It makes it easier for us, since we know our way around the forum, but for a new user it would be confusing. The first time they ever view a topic they would end up on the last page and wouldn't necessarily know it. How to move from one page of a thread to another is one of the least obvious features and it would be strange for a new user to have to figure that out first.

However, it might be nice if those of us with speedy connections could set our preferences to load more than the standard number of posts. I'd like to be able to set my preferences to load 100 posts per thread per page. Of course, that may not be possible.

I don't think EVERY page needs to be listed, just a link to the NEWEST page by clicking (NP).

This would only happen once in a while, and you can just use the page selector once you get into the topic at that point, most pages don't go over 3 pages, so you would have to do this once, maybe twice, for each thread.

Actually, most threads don't go over one page, but I only remember one or two that went 4 or more pages.

I've seen places that had each page selectable, and I think it's ugly. IMHO, A last-page selector would be great.

last-page wouldnt be a problem if you implemented the thing that made the last page 40 posts. you know, instead of a 203 post thread having 3 posts on the last page, there would be 40 on the last and 3 on the first.
