Roger Ebert originally gave it a thumbs down, but when the DVD came out he changed it to a thumbs up. His rational was that the movie was wonderfully produced, had amazing imagery and the only thing that kept him from giving an initial positive review was that he didn't understand WTF was going on (still didn't).
That's enough to make me want to see it. _________________ And he lived happily ever after. Except for the dieing at the end and the heartbreak in between. |

Hey Antrax, The Bourne Identity was too a good movie! It might have been simple in plot but it was fun to watch. Good music too.
[ramble]Often action movies use rap music or metal, (like SWAT and Steven Segal movies) and that sucks rather than the movie having it's own classy, instrumental backdrop. For example, Ocean's Eleven, with a few momental exceptions, had it's own funky music throughout - icing on the cake for a good film.[/ramble]
I'm surprised no one remembered The Game - a far fetched but cool movie. |

You mean the recent one with Mickey, Donald, and Goofy as the Musketeers? That was highly amusing! Seemed way too short, but it was highly amusing nonetheless.
If Eykir is referring to what I think he is referring to, then I second it. On second thought, nah.
Aw, what the heck -- I'll nominate Aladdin. That was awesome! It has a lot of great songs in it, which are probably one of the more important things to me in a movie. I'll nominate Beauty and the Beast as well for the same reason.
And I still have 17 nominations left! HAH! _________________ My logic puzzle blog |

What's wrong with Insurrection? It might not be as good as say Generations or First Contact, but it was still a decent movie.
Better than that crap-fest Nemesis anyway. |

If your opening comment is that it was worse than Generations, you've already lost...
Well, it is a Star Trek TNG film, and as such I'd expect the characters in the film to behave in a manner consistent with those I've grown up with. There is no way in hell Picard is going to disobey a clear direct order from Starfleet, put his crew in jeopardy, and stop new medicine from reaching billions to stop the removal of 150 people who don't belong there anyway and who Picard is romancing the leader of.
Even if it wasn't based on characters I'd come to know, the plot was poor, and the dialogue was terrible.
My comment was really just amusement that someone would put this on a 'favourite 20' list though. |

Actually, Casablance hasn't been mentioned yet, and Kane has only 3 nominations.
And if a movie like "Who framed Roger Rabit" can get 4 nominations, than surely Insurrection should be no worse.
Heck, even South Park has 3 right now. |
