I meant the original who-picked-what list. That adds up to the total nominations for each movie (which could have been used to determine the seedings, though i may be mistaken). Doesn't matter if it's a regular text file.
[edit]But what you posted above is useful too! |

Oddly, I nominated Lost Ark, but voted for Last Crusade. Most days I think Lost Crusade better, but when I nominated it wasn't one of those days.
I have, at least, seen all the final 8, though I think the only one I've seen all the way through in the past year is Die Hard (I got Luna to watch it, based entirely on the fact that Alan Rickman, playing a German guy, does an American accent). |

Yeah, I've always quite enjoyed that fact. I just finished watching it the other night.
Well, I must aire my grievances somewhere...
NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!1111111 Why? Why? Why did Star Wars have to lose?! And Return of the Jedi of all things! Curse you, non-Star Wars-voting-GLers!!!![/rant] |

Round Averages:
Round 1-
Div 1 = 44.25
Div 2 = 45.125
Div 3 = 43.625
Div 4 = 37.75
Round 2-
Div 1 = 60
Div 2 = 48.5
Div 3 = 47.5
Div 4 = 43
Round 3-
Div 1 = 36
Div 2 = 36
Div 3 = 38.5
Div 4 = 39.5
Overall:
Round 1 = 42.6875
Round 2 = 49.75
Round 3 = 37.5
Div 1 = 46.75
Div 2 = 43.208
Div 3 = 43.208
Div 4 = 40.083
Total OVerall = 43.3125
So each match is getting about 43 votes, with a high of 82 and low of 27.
The first division is the most popular, and we peaked in the 2nd round. I'm a little upset that the 3rd round averages were somewhat lower. Losing interest? |

Average Margin of Victory:
Round 1:
Div 1 = 13
Div 2 = 8.375
Div 3 = 11.625
Div 4 = 9
Round 2:
Div 1 = 6
Div 2 = 6.5
Div 3 = 9
Div 4 = 5
Round 3 :
Div 1 = 3
Div 2 = 13
Div 3 = 1.5
Div 4 = 2.5
By Div
Div 1 = 7.33
Div 2 = 9.292
Div 3 = 7.375
Div 4 = 5.5
By Round
Round 1 = 10.5
Round 2 = 6.625
Round 3 = 5
Overall = 7.375
That 13 really stands out. So despite the many close match (At least 8 matches have been decided by less than 2 votes) the over-all margin is around 7, which is a fairly nice margin, though the matches (as expected) continue to get closer, round 4 should be lower. |

To me anyway, extro has more knowledge and savvy about the films on here than most others who have wasted their votes on film they have not seen. extro has put his point across in each voting bracket in his own style, not once has it offended me, and I be amazed if it offended anyone else.
And I still agree with what extro says on the general voting habits of folk here.
As for myself voting, well, I'm just put off by the same annoyances that extro pulls up. |

| For the record, none of this means so much to me that I'd register screen names to cast multiple votes. That sounds rather pathetic. Though far less pathetic than than voting against a movie you didn't see because it "can't be a famous movie. I'm sure if it were really famous, than all the TV stations would have been shoving it down my throat, and I'd've have heard of it." |

Neo, you're grumpy on occasion! I don't know if I would appreciate you the same if you weren't.
And I don't see extro as grumpy here. I can't believe mathgrant, of all people is trying to pick a fight with extro.
"Oh no! It's pikachamp to the rescue! And now pikachamp and mathgrant are both taking on extro! That's not really fair, two against one! Don't just stand there!! Some smart person! Help him !"
I thought mathgrant was having a parody party, that's all. I didn't think he was serious about asserting extro's 80 aliases. He (mathgrant) has been here long enough to know that's poppycock. extro has never been the type of guy to do anything like that. It's silly.
Plus, it would be undermining the tournament and extro knows this too.
I agree with extro, wasn't very offended and have enjoyed the comments so far. I agree with the bean chap too.
I would like to confess this though about some misconduct of my own in the form of mischief that I engaged in recently.
One time, I used several aliases to post in kd's christmas thread. It was all in fun and I gave her favourable votes.
Okay, there was one other time and it was when wordcross, MattV, Jedo, and another GL'er, (I think it was casino pete, not sure), were in a four way chess match.
wordcross looked like he was doing really well. Others agreed.
In a poll, "who do you think will win?!" wordcross had a fair lead. It was late, I don't know. So, I decided to vote for Jedo the Jedi five extra times.
"Wasn't I clever?" and "gee, this is fun!" I thought.
But then Jedo saw the poll and just couldn't help himself! His head got really huge! and in the chess thread, he started bragging about "his new poll standings"! I was flabbergasted! The fool! What was he doing?!
Astute GL'ers know this is only begging for trouble, and sure enough, sock puppets decended upon the thread like ducks on a june bug in support of wordcross. I tried to help Jedo and basically, he blew the whole fockin' thing!
I was bored I mean to say, I shouldn't have done it those times and won't do it anymore.
I learned my lesson As I was saying, it's very wrong to use multiple personas to skew polls. Not only that but it's a waste of time and very wrong. |

If you're asking what mathgrant was referring to, I think it was this, in another thread in this forum:

Would it be rude of me to say that Star Wars and LOTR both have a rather unfair advantage in a forum full of geeks? |
No. Would it be rude of me to point out that Disney movies have an unfair advantage in a forum full of kids who still get tucked in to bed by mommy every night? |
Obviously, I don't believe this is a forum "full of kids who still get tucked in to bed by mommy every night" (nor do I believe it's a forum full of geeks). I mean, I've seen pics, and many of them ... no mother would tuck in. But in such a forum, were there one, Disney movies would have an unfair advantage in a movie tournament. And one could infer that in this forum, to whatever extent, if any, it is like such a hypothetical forum, to that extent Disney movies would have an advantage. (How'm I doin'?)

| Has there been any more discussion about whether you be running a related tourneyment when this one finishes (such as a "losers bracket" movie tourneyment where the top 32 from this tourneymeant are disqualified, or a "best movie series" turnament as opposed to individual films), or be moving onto an unrelated turneyment (such as favorite book, favorite dessert, favorite religion, or favorite way to misspell tournament)? |

I was thinking of doing the losers bracket thing. Put in the losers from the first round and all of the double-nominated movies that didn't make it in and mix it up.
I think i'll like that tournament better anyway Not so many big names that just get voted because they're so publicly popular. _________________ Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like? |
