Candide -- Voltaire
The Giver -- Lowry
The Stand -- King

The libraries here have comic books. they call them 'Graphic Novels' but that's what they are. Some of the batman stuff they have kicks ass, not to mention the wealth of Akira comics.

Don't get me wrong, the library collection of comics is hardly superb, but at least they have'em here Revenge most foul!

I've never read GFology all the way through, but seems to be good introductory material. It would be nice to be able to say a generating function for the Final Exam puzzle in VSP is (1-e^(-2x))/(2*(1-x)^2), and have people understand what I'm talking about. (Incidentally, actually is the ordinary gf for expected number of seats filled. Feel free to check it.)

Well, I'd know what you're talking about, anyway. Cannibal

And it's not too late to nominate until I post saying I'm doing a final update and then starting the thing. Which isn't now, but maybe after I get out of the shower...

None of the other books really interest me. I read part of a Kurt Vonnegut book once and didn't really like it. I was mildly interested in reading The Da Vinci Code when it first came out, but I never got around to it, and my current interest in it is much less that it was.

I counted OED as a partial. So if we're ignoring it, 30 out of 63. Quite a few I should read, though I doubt I'll try to read all of them like I tried to watch all the movies (still a few left to finish off when I get home, the Blockbuster here doesn't have them Revenge most foul!).
