I'm pretty sure she was being sarcastic (it was the only one without a vote at the time).

Pretty interesting group here, I think, with a strong Brave New World and the rest from series that have got other (more popular) entries. I went with LtUaE, though I must say that I enjoyed Goblet of Fire much more that Order of the Phoenix; I wonder if it got in so easily because it's the most recent, or what.

Voted Brave New World. Am pleasantly surprised that HP did not take over.

Wow, tough luck for Silmarilion and HP. I think either would progress had they fallen in other categories Felicitous

Yeah, I would have liked for both of them to make it, but alas, their competition was just too great.

I would have hoped Roger Ackroyd would get out of this. It's one of Christie's Best.

Alas, even I voted for LUE.

I should've nominated HP4. Then it wouldn't get crushed here.

this was a tough category -- I enjoyed Hp4 thoroghly... Douglas Adams if funny, and Brave New World is a classic. I havnt read the other 2, so maybe its even harder to choose for some.

Oh not really. Brave New World was an awful book. And I'm not just saying that because of content...I am after all, a big fan of 1984.

I just thought that the idea was presented poorly.

And while I haven't read HP4, I read the first one and though it was awful. No way am I going to waste more time reading any of that tripe.

(Sorry if I offended anyone)

I haven't read of the 5th book, so for me it was LUE vs Christie.
