GLpics.com Overcrowded.

Just a heads up for glpics.com...

We're out of space on that server--something that I thought unpossible...

I'm going to delete accounts that don't seem to be legit. If I happen to delete a legitimate GLer account, please let me know...

I'm sorry I'm so inactive on the forums as of late... I don't hate the site, and I do miss it... I've just been busy with life. I'm sure I'll come home some day.

I wish I had more to say...

Oh... if you have something stored on glpics.com that's taking up a lot of space, please remove it... You know who you are.

This might help you in identifying valid accounts.

I think mg means 15 MB yeah, if you... um... "increase" mathgrant's and a few others to 15 KB you just might solve the problem.

Just deleted 10MB. I don't think that much matters. Feel free to chop my free space down to 25M (from 50M).

Thanks for the heads-up; I have now deleted a bunch of BMP files and replaced them with PNG versions, in the process cutting my space usage from more than 3 MB to less than 1 MB.

Thanks guys... the effort is surely appreciated... However... the accounts I'm speaking of take over 50MB... heh. So....

I have downloaded a backup, and will delete names that I don't know. I'm also going to change the default page to link to a "if you're wondering why you're account was deleted, click here" type of message.

The MB available is probably how much you're allowed, not how much you're currently taking up. You don't take up that much disk space unless you actually put files into it.

Hy should delete all BMP files and not allow them any more. People can convert them to GIF or JPEG and upload them again.

I've got a 50mb account, but i do honestly use it often to host songs and such for GL related stuff, so it goes to good use. If you need me to, i can cut down on it, but i really do use it quite regularly.

You were here. 10 MB was what you got when you signed up, and you could e-mail Hy if you needed more. I think I asked for 20 or 30 MB, he gave me 100. It was like MB Christmas with Santa Hy.

It was orriginally 10 MB with 100MB when requested, but I later limited it to one MB, and moved to 10 mb when requested...

I want all GLers to have unlimited MB, but it seems that glpics.com is used for more than just the GL.

Perhaps I'll put a reference filter on the site, thus allowing people to link to only glpics.com, mafiascum.net, greylabyrinth.com, etc...

This would require GLers to send me sites which they also link from....

I don't know...

Also, I'm sorry to ANYONE who requested an account, and/or upgrade on space and got ignored... There is no more space to create accounts or upgrade space.... which is the meaning of this thread....

I think around 20MB can go from mine atm... there are some things I wanted to delete but they apparently refuse to leave, so I'm not sure what to do about that... I suppose I need to re-organise my folders.
