Can I vote for Catch-22 due to the fact that I love it so much I can't imagine any book beating it? Or would that be unfair due to the fact that I've not read The Divine Comedy?
I'll abstain for now, anyway. |

I don't have a problem with people voting against books they haven't read if they like the other one. I think what annoys people is when an "ok" book wins over a "classic" because more people have read it.
Example: I voted for Jurassic Park, because I know that if I did attempt to read P&P, I would fall asleep; I abstained from the Catcher/Sideways match, because I suspect I would like Catcher if I did read it, and while I did enjoy Sideways when I was younger, I'm not going to vote for it over a classic I haven't read.
Doesn't look like it's going to matter much here, though. |

I'm glad Mackay convinced me to read Catch-22 so I know how to vote. _________________ And he lived happily ever after. Except for the dieing at the end and the heartbreak in between. |
