In order to properly settle this dispute, we must also examine both books in the medium of film.

Velociraptor

Colin Firth as Mr Darcy

Now, doormouse, look me in the eye and tell me you made the right decision. *nudge*

OK, ok, I know. But I love P&P and I resent the insinuation that this makes me a hopeless girliegirl.

[Mackay's Brain] And, uh, posting a picture of Colin Firth will really help this insinuation. [/MB]

[Mackay's Uterus] Well, no, but - for goodness' sake, just look at him! Gratuitous or not... rowr! [/MU]

[MB] Duly noted. rowr! [/MB]

[Mackay's Heart] And when he looks all snooty... rowr! [/MH]

Well anyway, I've read both and seen both, and I prefer P&P. If this makes me girlie, you Colin all just go and Firth off. Bah, I meant to say, you're all a bunch of Darcy Darcy Darcy Darcy...

[MB] *blissfully blank* [/MB]

I don't understand this. Jurassic Park was, like all Michael Crichton's books, an excellent screenplay masquerading as a novel. Pride and Prejudice is a masterpiece of a high order that just doesn't (Colin Firth included!) work on screen.

(And without P&P, we wouldn't have Bridget Jones. Ah well, we can't have everything *nudge*)

The only one of those movies listed that I've heard of is Shark Tale, and I never got around to seeing that because it looked like a cheap knock-off of Finding Nemo.

I'm just not well informed. Sorry.

Renée Zellweger is pretty hot. She just recently married Kenny Chesney, the lucky, country-singing freak.
