I personally prefer the old style for the profiles. I find the new ones all crammed; the old one had spacing and a list-like format.

You can compare:
Old: http://www.greylabyrinth.com/cgi-bin/ubbmisc.cgi?action=getbio&UserName=The%20Doctor

New: http://www.greylabyrinth.com/discussion/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=977

And, if we keep the new one, IMHO, the bold has got to go.

Also, I just realised that the new one does not say whether one is an Icarian, Daed, Mod, or Min.

In the new profile, the page is much better organized so you have a minimal scroll. All the short bits, like user names on other chat programs don't take up a whole line of space.

It's information at a glance, which is what a profile is supposed to be. It's not interactive, so it doesn't need to take up more than one page.

I find the BOLD helps me find the information I want more quickly on the profile page. I think it helps emphasize the user's details rather than having all the categories highlighted.

I voted for the old layout, solely because the new layout doesn't have a birthday Razz

Neither will the "new old" one, even if we change it.

I think the new layout is fine, but there are some more things I would like to see in it, such as date of last post, status, and birthday. Is there a reason why birthday can't go in the profile, or is it just on the things to add list?

It's on the list. Any such thing requires changing the database, so I'm taking my time with them, especially since it's not exactly urgent.

I agree that it needs to be info-at-a-glance; I'm good with the new format. Of course, like everyone else, I want as much information as possible, so I'll be happy when the database of info gets expanded.

Don't you love the accusatory "you took away my stuff," Antrax?

I voted "new", but I have to agree...

...I'd like to see the date of last post in particular (because it takes away the need to click on "Find all posts by...").

I disagree. I say that the "Find all posts by" is more useful, and to add in the last post line would just be redundant.
I do, however, miss the status line. Mildly. It's not vital by any stretch.
