I have a differant answer and as far as I know it works. When you leave the house you see what time it was on your clock, say 2:00. Your brisk pace makes for your cane to touch the pavement once every second, as you walk you count the seconds this way. When you see the clocktower, say 300 seconds later, you notice it sayes 4:30. This way you know that your clock is two hours and twenty-five minutes slow. I hope I have expressed what I intended to.

I say you know what time it is by noticing that wheel of fortune is ending and it always goes off at 6:30!

(Picky, Picky) The puzzle states that your brisk walking pace is constant - not that you know what it is by any other measure.

(More Picky, Picky) and not only don't you know the specific pace that you walk, but you also can't be certain that you always walk with the same length of your steps. The only thing you're guaranteed is that your pace is constant.
