How about this one?

The hunter is clever. He stalks towards the monkey until he is exactly under the poor animal. He points this time in a different direction, straight upward, bang.

The clever monkey sees the draw back and lets go. And drops straight into the "bullet".

Bed time for Bonzo.

Y'know. I really like this answer! It's the most practical that I've seen yet, but I can just see the monkey dropping a "bomb" on the hunter.

No bombing of hunters. As soon as the hunter pulls the trigger, he knows what is going to happen. And he has all the time in the world to step aside.
