Actually, I came up with the correct answer, but my "table" is different from the one posted.

Norwegian German Brit Dane Swede

Green Blue Red Yellow White

Coffee Water Milk Tea Beer

PallMal Prince Blends Dunhill BlueMastr

Birds Fish Horses Cats Dogs

Now some of you might disagree because the green house is not DIRECTLY to the left of the white house in my solution. But in the puzzle it doesn't say that it is directly to the left. It just says to the left, and mine is correct in every other aspect as well. Just wanted to share this with everyone.

There are, in fact, a huge number of valid solutions for this depending on your interpretation of the puzzle. The one posted is simply the accepted interpretation.

3125 is a "relatively small" number of solutions?

3125 is the MAXIMUM possible number of solutions, no matter what weird strange out-of-this-world interpretation one would use... And i said that i think that the real number of solutions is somewhere under 10. Besides, only the first and the second move for both player in a chess play taken into consideration and we've got more solutions for the problem "after touching exactly 4 pieces, show me a possible table situation!" that that poor 3125... Satisfied?

The argument about Einstein not being responsible for creating this problem because of the cigarette brands is illusory. There are examples of this problem having generic names for the tobacco like 'shag' and 'rough cut' also animals including a Zebra.
