| it cant be a shadow because humans dont need it and it can not kill us. I think it might be sunlight but we do not fear it. . . im not really sure. |

As the puzzle's creator I can definately say that it is a Vampire. The first verse refers to a mirror but only to say that you can't see Vampire's in mirrors because they have no reflection.

its a vampire
the mirror reference is because you are looking forward (into the mirror) and back (the reflection) and the vampire cannot be seen in a reflection even if he is behind you.
The rest is all pretty obvious
