This looks like one that I should be able to witness. I predict that tomorrow will be one of San Diego's few cloudy days.

Uh, if you've got a good view of the eastern horizon, you will be able to see the last penumbral phase on the moon as it rises. At this point, the moon will be a few percent dimmer than it would otherwise appear, an effect that probably won't be visible due to the moon being so low in the sky. Sorry for the pessimism, but I am afraid that we're going to essentially miss this one on the west coast.

I'm studying in Vancouver these days, my friend. <comment about the awesome weather> <comment about the much lower weed/beer ratio> I'll trek down to California in May if I can score some Coachella tickets, drop me a line if you find yourself up thisaway, and so on.

Ah, I missed that you'd moved. Also missed the eclipse, it's a bit hilly in San Diego. Maybe if I was in Fresno...

If there's some family thing I might have cause to go to Seattle but otherwise I'm stuck here. Felicitous

But if you make it down here I might be able to wrangle my way up to LA or something.
