I like that answer, but I still can't get over the fact that the oldest date on the GL is 1996.

On #5, I'd agree with Leyton that there's a good chance it's an Iridium satellite. There have been a couple of flashes these past few weeks, for 2 or 3 seconds, 1 10000 times brighter than the sun, i think...

So, one of our many answers for 4 and 5 are right. Which ones?

Courk, how do you know that one of the answers for 4 and 5 are correct? The Minoutaur told you that in an e-mail answer?

And when is he posting the tips for this questions?

About #5 I still have my doubts on Iridum Satellites... I thought that they were going to continue orbiting the earth, since Iridium was bought by another company who wanted to use these satellites...

Why Bethlehem...?

Earlier the Minotaur said that there had been no right answers to 4 and 5. Yesterday he posted this.

Mass is measured in kg/g/mg/etc. Multiply it by the force due to gravity to get weight.
F = ma W = mg g = 9.8 most of the time.

(Woah...I'm actually using something I learned in school during vacation...)

Question #5

Asked an astronomer friend. He wasn't sure. Suggested Iridium flash or Iridium glint.

Check out www.heavens-above.com

Good luck guys!

Re the tastes, much of what we consider flavour is smell. If you have a cold, you'll notice that everything tastes the same. Hence the only things we can taste are those 4(5? Can't remember specifically)

Hey, funny thing I just noticed. For number 6, Image IV turned out to be the answer, because it was the answer to a Potpourri problem numbered 2, rather than 6. But by being the answer, now it IS the answer to a Potpourri problem numbered 6.

So I guess it isn't the correct answer after all. No, wait....

It is too clear, and so it is hard to see.

Here's what I figure it is. About sixmonths before this problem there was a puzzle called, "Urns of Infinity"

These were the paraphrased directions: "Demon #2, I want you to place these numbered balls within this infinite urn. At one minute to midnight, place the balls numbered one through ten into the urn, and then take the ball numbered 1 out. At a half minute to midnight, place the balls numbered eleven through twenty into the urn, and remove the ball numbered 2. At a quarter of a minute to midnight, repeat this with the next ten balls, and so on until midnight. At that time you may leave for the weekend."

And that urn ultimatley ends up empty because "every ball that goes in eventually comes out."

What I figure here is that it's just about the same thing. Sure the end of the band is going one-hundred times the speed of the ant and it will never stop, but that ant will be plowing along forever, eventually crossing every centimeter the rubber band has crossed.

I think that kind of makes sense. They meet at infinity. Correct me if I'm wrong.
