THE RULES – Stolen from DP, of course.
- Have fun and don't be a jerk. Please have consideration for the other players and the mod, and actually PLAY the game by posting and voting.
- This is a French mafia game, so you are free to use a few words and sentences in French if you so wish...
- No communication outside the thread unless your role allows you to do so and then only when specified.
- No quoting my or others' e-mails/PMs/etc.
- You are not allowed to quote or paraphrase your winning condition, unless you want to risk a modslaying.
- If you're dead YOU'RE DEAD. No more posting relevant information after that.
- Lynching will be carried out once a regular majority is reached - and cannot be undone by unvoting. If I impose a day deadline, lynching will require at least half of the regular majority. A bandwagon always needs at least two votes in it to be successful.
- Voting NO LYNCH is possible. If no bandwagon has more votes than the NO LYNCH bandwagon by sunset, the day ends with no lynch.
- Only votes in BOLD will be counted. Please clearly unvote if you want to change your vote. Spell the name of the player you're voting for correctly. Only use nicknames if they are accepted on the other side of the Atlantic.
- Do NOT edit or delete your posts! If you made a coding error, just post again.
- Do NOT post in invisible text.
- Get your choices in before the deadlines. I won't make random choices for you. I work 35 hours a week, and that's too much already.
- The mod is always right. Accept the decisions, and if you want to discuss them, take it to e-mail, or do so after the game has finished.
Game will start on Day 1.

On a beautiful day of spring, the French Republic awoke to find itself at war. The text of the declaration of war was short and to the point.

The Republic had enjoyed a long, prosperous peace, so it took some time to review the processes of mobilization. However, after only one month, the French Army was on its way to the East, hoping to meet its powerful enemy as far as possible from home.
The army set camp near an old village called AUSTERLITZ.
In the following days, however, many suspicious incidents occured: poison was discovered in the water supplies, fuel destined to the Leclerc tanks went missing, and two reserve infantry regiments were mysteriously sent back to Paris, although the Etat-Major Interarmee denied it had given such an order. The impact of these incidents on the troops' morale was significant.
With the arrival of the enemy now imminent, the Etat-Major decided to create a Supreme War Council, comprising twenty members. The Supreme War Council's mandate was to 1) deal with the situation and the suspected sabotage, and 2) develop a strategy for the upcoming battle. The Council's decisions would be final, and its orders carried out fully by the French Etat Major.
You are the members of the Supreme War Council.
On your first meeting in a nearby abandoned manor, you are greeted by a young officer.
"Bonjour" the young man says before bowing his head "I am Sous-Lieutenant Leonidas. I will be the Council's Aide-de-Camp, as well as your Liaison officer with the Etat-Major. Please excuse my lack of experience in military strategy, I am just an intern...(ahem). However, I will assist you with all things related to protocols and etiquette."
"This will be the Council's meeting room. I will be waiting outside. I am at your disposal, call me whenever you need me. I have taken the liberty to hang a painting of Marianne... May she inspire you."
"Vive la Republique, vive la France!" the young man shouts before bowing his head to the assembly, and quietly exiting the room.

He then brings his right hand to his ear, and salutes Amb. "I understand that you do not like that painting with the Army's old uniforms. Let me change it for you at once."
A few minutes later, a painting of French soldiers during WWI replaces the previous one on the wall. |
