im creating a new message for these two because they are quite hard, one of them is only really sloveable if you already know it, i dont...
1. name a nine letter word in the english language that you can keep taking letters out(one at a time)and the word will still be in the dictionary?also name the new words that are created.
2. a real toughie this one.
what is the nth term of this sequence
n 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
x 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128
i really have no idea on this, ive asked other people, one of them a world nerd of maths(nikita-who im only mentioning to piss off) and others dont have a clue either, but the weird thing is the question came from an inermediate maths paper a friend asked me to look at

Ok, I e-mailed the second one off to my father, who has two masters and a PHD in math. He does not have any ideas off the top of his head, but will be bringing it up in his universty departmental meeting later this week. I also have a computer program looking for some pattern.
It probably has no solution, and was intended to be a prank.

| I'm sorry, could we back up a minute? Why is the nth term of the sequence not 2^(n+1)? Am I missing the joke here? |

I'm confused. I meant my first post as a joke, you know, like "haha it's so easy now". What's going on?

All right; I want those of you who are being serious to line up on the left, and those of you who are being facetious to line up on the right.
Sheesh. Ya can't tell your players without a program. |

Both. You caught me; I am Einstein's son, as it happens.
Tone of voice doesn't carry well over the internet. Less so, in the case of johnny. |
