This is in response to Chuck's post about jogging in 110+ degree weather. A friend of mine from highschool always wore shorts, no matter how cold it was. It seemed to natural for him to wear them that I never noticed until the one day that it snowed (1/2 inch of genuine Atlanta snow!) and he was still wearing his shorts.

There is a kid I know at school who stopped going barefoot at about -5°C but didn't wear anything but shorts. It got well below -25°C.

Of course, people thought I was also strange for continuing to wear sandals everyday.

It is now 20 to 1 in the morning, bit over 24 hours since the last post. We've had clouds! It is cooler!

24 degrees. Enthusiastic Grin Bliss.

Even though it is still warm, it feels deliciously cool. Felicitous

On the topic of constant rain...

Seattle has had 24 days of consecutive rain. The local record is 33 like a million years ago, so I'm hoping it keeps up.

It's 66 deg. F at 5:45 in the morning. That's about 30 degrees above normal for Houston. I hope this doesn't continue into the summer, when normal temps are in the 90's.

I had cool tap water this morning. The forecast high for today is 88°F so I'm not expecting snow.

Other than the fact that one step in the bread recipe I have involves oven temperatures less than that, I'm amused by the chance of rain.

"Hey, think it'll rain on Saturday?"
"Nah, it's a desert."
"Sunday?"
"Nah."
"Monday?"
"Hmmm... maybe."
"What about the rest of the week?"
"Eh, iffy."

It's 1:30 am. That's way more amusing to me than it ever will be to you.

Not only is it not snowing here in Raleigh, North Carolina, it's almost like living in Phoenix with Chuck.
