I'm using the latest version of avast! anti virus, and today it thinks every discussion page I load here has a virus/worm (VBS:Malware-gen). I'm guessing it's something wong with avast!'s virus checking than the GL itself though.

I'm running Avast! right now and am not picking up anything, even after setting the Web Shield to the highest sensitivity. I'd say you've got something from somewhere else.

Right-click the Avast globe in your sys-tray.

Select Updating, then "iAVS update"

Then when that finishes, select the other option: "Program update."

I'm running Avast, and I've got a later version of the VPS definitions. It's 080125-0, 01/25/2008
