Hmmm, I was thinking that it's the sequence in which the actors played character with a common name, like Steve or something, but that hasn't panned out yet.

How odd. The order I'd put those five in would be

Bruce Willis
Will Smith
Harrison Ford
Nicholas Cage
John Cusack

though it doesn't leave a unique place for Mr. Wayans. (It does leave a clear place to put Dudley Moore.) As for the actual list--I have no idea.

What was your logic?

As far as the first puzzle goes, maybe the five actors have more in common then I had anticipated.... But according to my rule Mr. Wayans and Dudley both fit into the sequence. (uniquely)

Depending on what Jingle47 deems a valid entry for the first group, William Shatner would go between John Cusack and Will Smith....and Sylvester Stallone could make the end of the list if he reprised a role.

For the second group, Jason Vorhees could replace Debra Winger...and that should be a dead give-a-way
