Pirates Mafia- townie win!

John Brown was Will Turner's boss in the smithy. He's the one that knocked out Sparrow after his duel with Will in the first movie.

This makes me think that TGC is town. If you assume that he's not lying when he says he doesn't know his Pirates characters there's very little chance that he would know a rolename such as this.

This leaves us with Azu as Norrington, TGC as John Brown the blacksmith, and UM as "the harbormaster". I don't think that Azu is lying when he says he's norrington and considering that Sparrow was mafia, I tend to think that Norrington would have to be town, since he was almost always on the opposing side.

I have no role name, unfortunately, so I can't get additional info from that, but my hunch is that the other mafia is Barbossa, which means that either TGC or UM is lying about their role name. If TGC is lying about his role name, he must have done a lot of work to find a name so obscure. OTOH, UM wouldn't have had to do a lot of work to just call himself the harbormaster, and be relatively safe in assuming that nobody else would have that role.

That leaves UM at this point, but to be honest, analyzing the actual posts, I can't find any hard evidence to implicate him, aside from his eagerness to get Azu out. To be fair, I don't have a lot to go on since he just replaced in and wolfcrier wasn't exactly all that verbose.

Postwise, TGC to me seems far scummier...the only question in my mind is whether or not he had the intuition to go to IMDB and find a good role. That claim really does concern me, because until then I was all ready to lynch TGC.

If you're basing it on that one litle outburst then you're practically building the argument on me over air, it was nothing. As for the other posts, well maybe I did trip over myself a bit, but the intention was just simply to get AZu out of here because I felt he was going off on a whole bunch of different rants, that and changing his mood and opinion every single time. He was practically mafia bi-polar, not to be offensive to AZu if he actually is bi-polar, just had to use a word for it.

However, I do feel, that Undercover Monk had a teensy bit of nerve to post all out of the blue without even giving reading the recent posts a second thought. He says I'm cocky scum, eh? Even if that were true, than he's a cocky pirates fan, I say if KradDrol can name a character he can't, then he shouldn't be claiming he's the genius on the topic of the group. Monk, you also need to stop making things that aren't, you'll notice that in every single character of that post not once did I 'congratulate', it was simply a guess and you put it as the scumtell of the century.

You've got to look at the scumminess of what posts as a whole, not just a random post that comes up, and not just the posts that came up until you were killed.

AZu's willingness to make a big show out of this is what makes me put my foot down on him, but KradDrol seems like one I can trust right now, even though he is against me, and his knowledge of the pirates, seems to be leading onto something.

The Harbor Master seems a little bit flaky to me, that and Undercover Monk's whole arguments so far haven't had to go on much lately.

Though for the life of me, I can't see why wolfcrier would walk away from a role like scum, I think it would seem exciting to a newbie to get a mafia role and be able to control part of the game, I know it would for me if I were in his shoes and condition.

I don't. But it makes sense that there would be a Norrington in the game. Azu would be taking a pretty big risk in claiming Norrington if he wasn't really him.


To be honest, I'm not sure why we have roles like Capt. Bellamy, John Brown, Harbourmaster, etc. when we still have roles unclaimed such as Elizabeth, Gov. Swann, Cutler Beckett, Callisto, etc.
