I've found The Simpsons quite dull in recent times. Even reruns I have a hard time with.
Whose Line is a bit hit-or-miss, but at least if one joke or segment doesn't thrill you, after a couple minutes they'll be doing something different. |

| Simpsons had a higher peak, but Whose Line was more consistently quality. I'll take Mantle over Maris. |

Erm, I'm sorry, but I like both shows just way too much.
Granted, simpsons hasn't been as funny as it used to be, but I take a whole show in with its whole time line, some really old episodes and some new ones, one show is not defined by just one moment. And if you spread out all the funny from its first few seasons across its entire history, you'd have a pretty decent show.
As with Whose Line (One 'o' Moonk ) the actors are phenomenal, and aren't afraid to take a jab at one another, and for the things they're given to work with, not that great of acting games that most normal people would just screw up, having to come up with stuff right on the spot which could easily throw anybody (it does for Colin), and a host who has more fat than funny sometimes, they actually do a pretty kickass job. They're all likable, and I stay up late just to see it now, because there usual slot on abc family has been taken by 'America's Most Retarded People Who Will Take a Hit in the testicles just for some cheap laughs by a second rate audience, a check with money that doesn't even have half the worth it does now than it did then, half a second on television, and some recgonition for like three seconds before the next half-wit comes along doing the same stupid crap that ends up hurting him more than making people laugh, all for the stupid reasons below' *breathes*
Sorry
I rant.
-which was rather a follish decision. But I also do the same for The Simpsons, whose time was cut in half because people always feel better when watching shows that make scandals out of other people so they feel free to have a license to be a little more scandalous themselves and always have someone to look their nose down on.
So, i'm really torn, I give my time to both shows with whole-hearted enthusiasm, but I can't necessarily choose one over the other, I'm torn.
Abstaining. Because I like both just too much. _________________ Potato. Belgium. Eight. Random Lynch # Mafia awaits. |

I didn't get to vote
But these two are my all-time comedy shows. Simpsons is funny, but I can never laugh throughout their Treehouse of Horror, I just don't get it.
Whose Line is entertaining because you can watch 10 episodes, and go back to the first and it's like watching a new episode. With all of their games, it's like playing Clue, never the same episode twice, which makes it completely fresh and new.
So if anyone wanted my vote, I'd pick Whose Line _________________ Lottery: A tax on people who are bad at math. |

The Treehouse of Horror shows are spoofs of existing horror movies. I think they're funny since I've seen many of those movies.
The Simpsons were funnier in the past, but Whose Line was never more than mildly amusing at times. |
