Don't get me wrong, I think Monty Python's Flying Circus is a well thought out version of skecth comedy, the actors really supercede most of our american ones. But the simpsons, for being such a phenomenon in their early days is what lets them earn my vote, such fresh humor, characters you hardly got tired of, and if you got tired of one, than you could always move on to another, as springfield truly was a universe among universes. It's sad that I have to turn on these comedic geniuses of MPFC, if it goes down, it will truly be a mournful occasion. But The Simpsons is just family to me, Matt Groening has been my idol since I was five, it's what got me inspired to make some pretty horrible drawings of cartoons of my own creation, but 'twas such a joyous time of drawing. _________________ Potato. I watched Monty Python as a kid, I watch Monty Python still now.
The Simpsons fall far from that level of sustainability -- despite having more episodes and thus more opportunities to be appealing to me today. |

| cmon on Python Fans there is still time to break the tie. But not much. please hurry as it is becoming increasingly hard not to cheat to stop the hated Simpsons from crushing my beloved Eric Idle, John Cleese, Michael Palin, and the other pythons. |

Uhh hated? Maybe their material gets a little old, maybe they get a little unfunny. But its not like they're constanlty flashing swastikas on the screen. 'Hate' comes across as a strong word. Come on, the simpsons deserved to go this far. _________________ Potato. Belgium. Eight. Random Lynch # Mafia awaits. |

If mash went on, I'd vote for it. If Cheers goes on, I'm voting Simpsons. _________________ Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like? |

| I find it refreshing that, while comedy rarely wins Academy awards, it seems to be alive and well here. |
