Well, that's news to me.
I really want to reconsider voting for Leonidas. Isau started this bandwagon, and now he's dead. unvote
|
Wait, what? If I remember correctly, it was Wall-E who started the current Leo bandwagon
| Wall-E wrote: |
Good enough for me. Vote: Leonidas
This. Is. Easy. |
Isau was only the fourth person to jump on that one. And even if isau had started the bandwagon, wouldn't it put more suspicion on Leo that he died mysteriously rather than isau himself? And the mod STILL has not answered my question, so I'm gonna Unvote, Vote: raekuul to see what happens. |
*Facepalm* Whoops, you're right. It was Wall-E who started it. Must pay more attention to what has been said. Oh, and speaking of the mod for Dirty Vanilla, |

Gah, wrong button.
Speaking of the mod for Dirty Vanilla, Wall-E, do you have to pick fights or something?
In any event, I get a feeling that Leo is a vig or something. It is possible that Isau's death is unrelated to the whole deal, but I don't want Leo to die. |

What is this feeling based on though? It certainly can't be based on anything he's posted so far.
So is it just isauteikisa's death? The evidence that his death was from a landmine is very strong:
* The description of the death suggests it.
* He'd only just made a very round post #100.
* A land-miner is exactly the sort of role I'd expect this game to have.
And if isauteikisa's death was Leonidas trying to get himself off the hook, why does that suggest vigilante to you rather than mafia scum?
You've been far more reluctant to vote for him than anything you've said so far would justify, so I'd be quite interested to hear what the real reason is.
Two questions for the mod:
* It's been over three days, so can I vote now? Or did you really mean three choice-blocks?
* Is it true then that there's no role reveals on death? I can't remember reading anything suggesting either way in the rules, but clearly we've been given no role for isauteikisa.
Just in case I can vote now, I'll put my money where my mouth is and vote Leonidas - even though the bandwagon has been rolling back down the hill recently. Personally I'd like to move on to choiceblock 2 and get a new puzzle.
I have to say though, with 14 people alive, presumably at least 3 scum, at least 3 people by my count who aren't scum (according to the clue) but who also haven't posted yet, and myself unable to vote as well, it's going to be pretty darn difficult to get 8 votes on one of the scum. |

I have solved the riddle. You repeated the solution while pretending to solve it for the first time.
You have asked a question. I have answered it clearly and competently, you replied with insults.
You pretended that it is not at all clear that there was a land-mine.
The language quality of the riddle coincides well with the language quality of your posts.
If noone follows me, I can change back to Leonidas, but if I have the choice between two suspects, I will choose the one who is destructive and insulting. |

Now you are pretending it's impossible I came to the same conclusion, and I was the one who first tried telling the mod the solution.
You have asked a question. I have answered it clearly and competently, you replied with insults.
Granted. You almost handled it like a grown-up.
You pretended that it is not at all clear that there was a land-mine.
No, I don't think it's clear at all. Show me how/why it's clear? Keeping in mind that before three months ago I'd never even heard of a roleblocker, a bus driver, a seducer or a framer, a mayor, an SK or a cult?
The language quality of the riddle coincides well with the language quality of your posts.
Are you accusing ME of something here?
If noone follows me, I can change back to Leonidas, but if I have the choice between two suspects, I will choose the one who is destructive and insulting.
You're entitled to your own plays. I think this reaction to a half-serious attack is bitter and reactionary, for the record. Otherwise, I'd unvote you. |

No, it's not - it's a hunch. I just don't think Leo is scummy, that's all.

I never meant to suggest that Leo was vigging Isau, just that I'm thinking Leo is a pro-town power role, likely a vigilante, at this point. Nothing really to support this theory.

It doesn't. I don't really have anything to go on than a hunch.

It's hard to justify an idea that has gotten itself stuck in your head. I have a hunch, that's all, that Leo is pro-town power role. I have nothing to back this up. If that suggests scumminess, then scum I must be. |

I'm not changing my vote from esme until (and possibly even if) esme answers the questions in my last post. At that point, I'll vote Leonidas.

Ok, at this point I'm looking at the theory that Wall-E has some sort of bizzare role that's affecting his posts. This is where we really need some help from people with good memories who've been around these forums for a while though, which unfortunately isn't me by either measure.
An obvious possibility is some sort of jester role, but I wouldn't expect this game to include one. Maybe some sort of lyncher role, with esme as the target, but I can't quite follow the logic from that to his current behaviour either.
I'm thinking some sort of cop role where you can only reveal your result by insulting or complimenting the person you investigated. Or some power role which has a weakness that you have to say something ridiculous in every post. Does any of this ring a bell to anyone? Any other ideas?
The obvious thing to do is lynch him, but that's just starting to seem more than a little too obvious to me, so I'm inclined not to do it. Plus I'm sick of lynching Wall-E day 1 in every game I see him in. |

Apologies, apologies, been really swamped for a couple of days.
[quote="The Great Crep'er"]Choiceblock I, Final Votecount:
Irgy: 1 (Green Crayons)
Green Crayons: 2 (jayfin3)
Wall-E: 2 (Undercover Monk, esme)
raekuul: 1 (thedragon'sprincess)
Leonidas: 4 (Wall-E, Green Crayons, isautiesika, MNOWAX)
With cold, firm, bureaucratic hands, the officials of the research center of the arctic base grabbed Leonidas by the arms, and cuffed him. As they marched him down the hall, one played a drum beat, one to the beat of 'Taps', one yelled "DEAD MAN WALKING!", truly this would be one unpleasant task.
They opened the nearly frozen doors and threw Leonidas in, he crashed to the snow with a vengeful look, he would be back. He just knew it.
But when a sudden gust of wind blew into the station, a mafia member's cold and clammy hands quickly pushed esme out as well, she screamed to her frozen death along with Leonidas, they didn't bother to bring them back in since they knew it was too stormy for rescue weather.
Leonidas has been lynched and esme has been killed by the mafia. - They will remain dead unless a certain course of reality changes.
It is now choiceblock two! With 12 alive it will take 7 to lynch (4 at deadline).
Power roles! Get to decidin'!
However, some course of mod action might come through due to some play that I do not see as too kind, you have been warned. (See comments in recent thread made by esme.) |

Yeah, idk, like I mentioned before Wall-E always hits my scum-dar anyway, so it's hard to tell. I thought that maybe his behavior was part/flavor for his role, but since the mod seems upset about it, perhaps not.
This is the point where I would vote for someone to stir up a bit of activity, but seeing as how I was still absent from that LAST vote count as well, probably a futile effort. |

Ms Lovett: I assume Leo's post is not really part of the game as such, he's just complaining about being voted off before he received his role. I think we were supposed to confirm we were playing, then get a role, then confirm we'd got the role. He might have been waiting for a PM.
Green Crayons: There's definitely info in some of the early scum account posts, but useful is another question entirely, I'm not really convinced we can tell how to interpret it.
I'm mostly just waiting for the next puzzle myself, but it would be good to generate some discussion about someone other than Wall-E in the meantime. It's gone a bit quiet here really.
I've just noticed in the last vote count:
"...Green Crayons: 2 (jayfin3)..."
Is this a typo or do we have a double-voter here? |

I agree with the sentiment that this game needs a kick to move on. It's partly the usual problem that anyone who has real information probably doesn't want to reveal it yet and so we've got nothing really to talk about. Which is understandable, but it leaves us with nothing to go on. Also nobody is encouraged to say anything because if you say something stupid you get voted off and if you say anything too sensible you'll probably get night-killed. The reality is that at the moment, lurking is the best strategy for the scum, and dealing with that is what we need to be focusing our attention on.
To be honest, I suspect that TGC needs a prod as much as anyone else. I'm partly waiting for this puzzle we're supposed to get, once that appears we'll have something to talk about again.
I don't agree with voting Wall-E as the way to create action, although I support the sentiment. He's currently a Jester as far as I'm concerned. I don't he really is, solely because I don't think there is a Jester in the game, but without a specific alternative then Jester is my best guess.
So I guess I'm saying that although I don't think he is a Jester, if Jester is in the center of my space of things he might be then it's my best approximation so I'm going to treat him as one until I get a better theory. Which means specifically not voting for him.
I don't really want to vote for anyone though until we've solved the riddle to be honest. |

I think someone should PM the mod.
In the meantime, to save the game, here's my PM: I'm the esc key from keyboard mafia. I can "die" three times and still play the game, but each time I "die" I lose the use of a letter in the group of letters "esc," so after being lynched I'd gain a post-restriction preventing me from using e, after being NK'd I'd gain the post restriction preventing me from using s, and then c.
vntually I'd b talking lik this
But for now I am fully articulate, so let's talk about who the damn filthy scum are. _________________ Don't read what I'm typing! |

I've decided to get some max mileage out of my catlike lives. If you disbelieve me, I don't care! In fact, lynching/NKing me will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to me! Hahaha! I am a superplayer!
So what to do with my amazing superpowers? Hmm... I don't see much to build a case on from what I was doing before, but I think claiming might stir up something interesting, so let's see what THIS does:
