Unvote, Vote: Escaped Convict
Passing flimsy reasoning like that to lay a vote on someone on day 1 just sends off all kinds of scumbells in my head. Town votes tend to be based on jokes or OMGUS's or if a scum makes a praticularly dumb move. So yeah I was having a non-game related discussion and going fishing.

if I were scum I'd look for stronger evidence instead of jumping around and putting myself in the spot light like that.
but I got what I wanted. a reaction.that is what first day votes are there for.
so:
unvote
and
vote: Undercover Monk for being opportunistic and trying to frame me based on "flimsy reasoning". |
He's not framing you. Framing would be if the things he argued were unsupported by logic. His case against you is rooted in solid logic. Can you argue that point? |
yes. I did in #53. my vote on sAbLLimINal was to start things off and get a reaction and I got it from UM. His all too serious vote on me for my obviously not too serious vote on sAbLLimINal just seemed too much.

1) You seem eager to push past the discussion and into the mechanics of the game. Not everyone may be ready for that. It's bad for the town to rush headlong into a lynch, and the light discussion is actually helpful. |
There was no real discussion because all you guys were doing was talking about musicals and trying to be funny until I started voting. That helped start things off.
Everybody should talk less about musicals and vote more in the first day. _________________ forgetaboutit

I'm still going to vote: Wall-E. I'm betting he isn't even really FROM this town. This simple citizenship test should shed some light:
1. What is the town's motto?
2. When Ol' Mrs. Kreeler's barn burned down, her wig caught fire, and her scalp now has a burn scar in the shape of WHAT Eastern European country?
3. What's in a cannoli?
4. We may or may not have a doctor, but if we DID have a doctor, what did he extricate from our sheriff's rectum?
5. Our school does not teach evolution, and also does not teach intelligent design. What unusual theory does Frank "Skunky" Peterson teach to biology classes instead?
I included a trick question in there to smoke out the mafia.

yeah scum, don't even bother coming up with arguments on your own. let others do the work for you. pathetic.
and since we're at it, let me help you out. EC:
1. talks too much thus he steps on scums' people's toes sometimes
2. he did something very beneficial by starting voting and getting this game off the ground
3. he dares to point fingers in any and every direction he finds suspicion, like a genuine confused townie who has no clue who's dirty or not on the first day.
did I miss anything ?
I propose something revolutionary : lynch raekuul ! I'm sure he won't mind sacrificing himself for the town. right buddy ? _________________ forgetaboutit

OK before we let Escaped Convicts go I feel I must remind the town of a few things.
1. Escaped Convict you can not answer my post with one that was posted several days earlier. You need to address the new issues I raised. You are paniking and are just trying to mislead us and unfortunately its working. Definately scummy
2. Wall-E is somewhere between a complete utter newb and a complete utter deusch. No offense Wall-E but your play has always been erratic and you even had a thread devoted to condeming you a couple of months ago. 50/50 for scummieness
3. Poisonium is a 13 year old danish kid whos mafia abilities have improved this year but still tends to make newbie mistakes. Not at all scummy right now to me.
4. I have no idea why Raekuul's name has even come up in this discussion. His comments have been insightful as well as open-minded. While he is good enough to probably fool me into believing he is town I'm still pretty sure I can trust him right now. Not at all scummy right now to me.
5. Undercover Monk is the future-savior of the town and is obviously trying to keep them on the straight and narrow.
Please look at escaped convict lets send this murderer to the gallows. _________________ The Classic Blunders:

I find Wall-E and Escaped Convict to be very scummy at the moment. Considering their ridiculous fights, I doubt both of them are evil though.

I think you misunderstood me. I agreed with you that votes count towards a lynch, but that does bot mean you should use FOS or YGMEOY instead of voting because you can always unvote or change your vote if you did not mean to lynch that person in the first place.
I like the "weight" of a vote compared to a weak FOS. I ussual ignore people that fos me but people that vote instantly grab my attention. _________________ forgetaboutit

you have to stop twisting things UM.
I did not say it was a "joke vote" . On contrary it was a very serious vote but a one based not on suspicion of someone but to stop the joking around and start playing mafia
And the fact that your are trying to build this "scum theory" around it just seams extreme. And you keep going at it after I explained myself.
You are a clear case of crap-logic user, my friend:
"true premise = EC voted SAB to make them stop talking about musicals and start playing mafia
false conclusion = thus EC must be mafia"
confirm vote: Undecover Monk. if you were a real townie you would've dropped this charade long time ago. you picked on the wrong guy to mess with, scum. _________________ forgetaboutit |

true premise= EC voted Sab to take control of the town
true conclusion= EC is scum
Thats my logic and while it MAY prove wrong it is based on several years of playing mafia. At least one scum try to take over the game early on. That my friend would be you.
Also why would I just drop my argument. About the only thing that would change my mind is if you claimed doc or sheriff. And even then I would be suspicous. so get used to me calling you out cause thats just "how I roll" _________________ The Classic Blunders:

well, since we're showing off our experience level here, all I can say is that in my 7 years experience of playing online mafia I have noticed that the scums have the tendency to blend in as much as possible and not put the spotlight on themselves, expecially right from the get go.quite the opposite of what you're claiming.
I can assure you that the mafia were all too happy when this game was sailing along the musical discussion. one wasted day would be the mafia's gain.
so your theory does not really make sense UM.
speaking of blenging in, It'd be nice if all the other quiet scums people would start pitching in. _________________ forgetaboutit

I can't help but notice Sab hasn't voted for anyone at all. I think it behooves a mafia to stall this round. 2 mafia vs. 4 townies gives them a lot more breathing room than 2 mafia vs. 5 townies. So, the best course of action for a mafia may be to forestall voting altogether. Let's at least force a vote of some kind out of Sab.
unvote: Wall-E
vote: Sab
Although, for the most part, I think Wall-E is laying way too low as well. |

EC, if your scum, then of course you would say that scums won't put the spotlight on themselves, because you'd just do the opposite, which is what you're doing.

Reasons for me not to vote for me: - voting for oneself does not end well.

Now, if UM is really sure EC is scum, he can add his vote, making EC the vote-leader and today's lynch. I leave it in your oh-so-experienced hands, UM. _________________ Don't read what I'm typing! |

Yeah I did that one my senior year. I was the wizard. It was fun but definately not my fave. But back to the game...
Convict these offshoots tend to draw people back into the game and get discussion started.
Look what I caught.... |
