Here's how The Color of Money works.

It's a multiplayer game for 10 people. There are 20 ATMs, each with a different color. In each ATM is a different amount from $24,000 to $176,000.

To start, you take one of three bank cards: A, B, and C. Each has a different target on it, but one of the three targets is always $1,000,000.

You (to be precise, the "you" that got closest to the amount in the ATM last round) pick an ATM, and then PM me the amount at which you want it to stop (in $1000 increments). If you go over, you're locked out of that machine. If you go under or hit it on the head, you get that amount. (It is a multiplayer game, which means four people can all get $80,000 each from the same machine.)

You pick ten of the machines. If, after ten machines, you've met your target, you win. If you don't meet your target, or if at any point it becomes mathematically impossible to meet your target, you lose.

hehe, I was thinking of running this after the DoND game.

questions: If I pick atm machine BLUE and get 70k out of it and succeed, do other players get to know that? Because then everyone knows it's a safe bet to get 70k from BLUE, which can break the game a bit.

Also, just wondering if there's a particular reason behind the 24-176k range XD

And finally, if two people withdraw simultaneously from a 100k max machine, lets say one submitting 80k and the other 40k, does the 80k guy get 80, and the 40k guy get 40? Or does it "run out" at 100?

1. The amount in the ATM isn't revealed until after the deadline.

2. It's done so the total is $2,000,000, and will allow you to reach $1,000,000 in 10 ATMs.

3. The one that stops it at $80,000 will get the money, because it's whoever comes closest to the amount in the ATM. The one that stops at $40,000 will get nothing (if he guessed before) or locked out (if he guessed after).

Ah, so all ten amounts and machines are picked at once then?
