Larry Gelbart died last week sometime, age 81.

(He wrote the "book" for one of my favourite musicals - A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum - not to mention quite a bit for the tv version of M*A*S*H)

Elizabeth Clare Prophet and the reason my dad moved us from the Netherlands to Canada, died at age 70 on October 15. Her church was also the reason my parents divorced 4 years after moving to Canada.

He was unlike the other kids... REMOTE CONTROL!
TV mattered, nothing else did... REMOTE CONTROL!
Girls said "Yes", but he said "No"... REMOTE CONTROL!

Now he's six feet below. Remote Control. Melancholy

Ken Ober, host of the game show Remote Control (MTV, late 80's), has died. Would've been worth 48 points.

Absolutely. Same format. Again, if you want to do a theme team, feel free to do so. I'll try to pick fewer people to die next year.... Cannibal

I'll give a few days leeway. PM me your team by January 4, 2010.

If you PM me your list by Dec 31, all deaths will count. If you PM your list on Jan 4 and someone died on Jan 3rd, I'm sorry, but that entry will not score points, just to be fair to everyone.

Let's see... If I reuse this year's list I only have to come up with one replacement.
